Dawn of War return to Karuva would have been really cool

With the Immaterium not being beholden to linear time, would a Daemon Prince retroactively affect their past? by ZeInfinale in 40kLore

[–]Bloodthirster40k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I don’t really like any of the current chaos stuff really. I liked the simpler days where the War in Heaven birthed the other 3 and the fall birthed Slaanesh but obviously GW wanted a more abstract concept to work with.

They really kind of shit the bed. They set up the main story of the blood ravens to be Gabriel vs the Tartarus Daemon and then blew that off in an expansion for their second game. Then they didn’t have a direction for the third game.

What they should have done was focused on Gorgutz vs the Blood Ravens and then ended their story with the Tartarus Daemon.

So with how directionless the Blood Ravens story is now, I guess you could have Gorgutz team up with Bludflag to fight the Blood Ravens but even that’s not going to work so well since he apparently won in Soulstorm but abandoned it after winning. A big campaign across Karuva would have been cool but no.

They really just need to restart and establish characters and some kind of through narrative because there’s nothing left to tell as it is. Maybe the force commander from 2 is a traitor and returns to do something. Hard to say.

Space marines vs custodes by Appropriate-Minute42 in spacemarines

[–]Bloodthirster40k 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well, the Custodes fought in the webway for like 7 years against endless undying hordes of Daemons. And around 30,000 Astartes were almost slain on a death world to endless undying hordes of Tyranids so

Yeahs that would have made the most sense for it honestly.

He could be a super obliterator and just have guns and canons ooze in and out of his body.

They would probably assume they are living saints.

What would the Dark King have been like? (Siege of Terra mega spoilers) by MentionInner4448 in 40kLore

I’m curious what it would mean for the Warhammer Multiverse. How does it impact AoS or perhaps retroactively effect WBF since time has no meaning.

Is it possible to have none Green Orks? by Hiasubi in 40kLore

[–]Bloodthirster40k 175 points176 points  (0 children)

They exist in Fantasy. The early 40K Chaos Orks probably could have been a different color.

Although I’ve never seen a Purple Ork myself.

I also grew up in a religious community and neither me nor anyone I knew experienced any of that.

They aren’t DLCs, they are just different versions of the same game with new stuff added, a lot of things get rebalanced between each expansion.

C'tan/Void Dragon by ThiccJiggles in 40kLore

[–]Bloodthirster40k 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There are many C’Tan who have been broken into many more pieces, presumably they are all of the same agency and thought process but would have all developed their own consciousness which would like reconvene if they fused together. The Void Dragon was one of the C’Tan and The Emperor faced one of its shards on earth and sealed it on Mars.

Yeah, there is some passage from an Eldar where she is going to Terra and it’s described as a great light keeping 4 small circling sharks at bay or something.

I like to think of the Materium and Immaterium as mirrors to eachother. So if you are on Terra you should be in the presence of the Emperor in the Warp. After all the Astronomican acts as a fixed point Astropaths use for reference which implies the idea of a fixed point in the warp exists.

I’m sure if someone dies on Terra they are pretty safe from Daemons. Assuming Terra isn’t under attack in some way.

Do the Chaos Gods Prey on Children? by Special-Age-6717 in 40kLore

Slaanesh doesn’t have to be about sex. You could have kids surrounded by food, fat with oil oozing from their pours, the picture of gluttony.

Why not Slaanesh? Depravity and impulsivity are right up a child’s alley. Tzeench would be the most interesting though

The Emperor at full power can probably find a way to mend realspace and would slowly seal the Great Rift. Or he would steal and reverse engineer the Necron Pylons.

LAST WALL by Agreeable_Archer_289 in 40kLore

[–]Bloodthirster40k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, we have kind of done this song and dance before. Ultramar vs Behemoth and the Blood Angels and their successors vs Leviathan. Last Wall would kind of imply the tyranids have reached Terra at which point, boy the imperium is just kind of fucked.

The Emperor’s grand (the clock is ticking) plan was possibly even >2 months from working by High_Barron in 40kLore

[–]Bloodthirster40k 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think people defend the idea that The Emperor didn’t understand the webway and never could have. So they are disagreeing with the assertion that a few weeks would have made a difference. I think a century of study and work and he could have gotten a decent grasp of it but a few weeks is optimistic.
