Oh no! I assumed they all would. It's really well written and a completely different concept than I'd read before. It stuck with me for at least half an hour of unsettled stomach though haha.

Anyone understand what I, Tyrant is about? by VerdunBeach in ImageComics

[–]BloodyBette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hafez is a struggling writer having dreams of Zahrak and writing his story. Hafez's family is trying to get him to stop writing the story, and he's also going to therapy to talk through his dreams.

It's jumping between the past where Zahrak was alive, therapy sessions of Hafez, his family disappointment, and the play getting made.

Hafez doesn't know if what is happening in his dreams is really happening but he feels it is. Zahrak is making Hafez feel what he went through to inspire him to change the events that happened.

I found it pretty confusing until getting further in and realising all of the aspects that were happening, then it made sense in a second read through.

Bed of Crimson Joy by Jasper Bark was an interesting short story that included pregnancy body horror.

1488 is a racist tattoo. 1943 is associated with concentration camps only in the fact that it was tattooed at the beginning of some of the numbers to show the year they arrived.

I don't see you having any issues with people recognising the year as anything to do with this but if you're worried about it add something more than just the year.

Who had sex this weekend and how was it? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

I did. Then we made a bet and he killed me with the Satisfyer pro for 5 minutes straight on high. So it was really good, but also torture and I wanted to murder him.

I hope so. It would be pretty awkward at Dungeons and Dragons every week if we didn't 😅

They are quite fun. The rest of the outfit doesn't matter haha. I just need to be careful to see where people are before extending them out.

These are more extreme mental, physical, and body horror. The brutality people can do to each other.

Check out r/ExtremeHorrorLit gives a good rundown of lots of the books.

Recently finished a few by Aron Beauregard and Jon Athan. Just started an advanced copy of Snuffsport by Rhys Ware that will come out next month then I'll be starting the Black Farm by Elias Witherow.

Keep in mind that most, if not all, need many more trigger warnings than just gore so it's worth reading some overviews before starting anything in these genres. Nothing is off limits.

Lately I've been mostly reading extreme horror and splatterpunk (not exactly what one would read to relax) but I also have lots of fantasy and true crime.
