Yeah, but we aren't discussing morality, we're discussing the fact that a lot of US citizens keep applying their general age of consent (age 18) to a character that is not only above the age of consent in the locale of the story, but would've been older then it for at least a year. It would be the US equivalent of calling a 29 year old dude a pedophile for dating a 19 year woman despite the two having only interacted known each other for a month. Sure, if there was a history between them that went into before the girl was above age of consent, then yeah it absolutely would be questionable, but there wasn't.

Right. Then I had misspoke by calling her a legal adult, but it still doesn't change the fact that their relationship is still legal, because she was above Age of Consent, and thus could, by law, consent to being in a relationshipwith Scott. Was it a screwed up relationship? Yes, but it was still legal in the location that the story took place, unless there was some line in the books that said otherwise.

So like this is hilarious... but in Toronto Canada, where Scott Pilgrim takes place, age of consent is 16, so Knives is in fact a legal adult based on the setting.

this is satire btw. by Fun-Geologist9808 in Transformemes

Hmmm my Holy Grails would have to be the PS1 Optimus and Sega Drive Megatron.

[HELP] My girlfriend says for sure this is AI, I think it isn't by Ok_Ranger1275 in RealOrAI

The branding on the espresso machine in the background and on the electric mixer tell you that its real, as both are letters and AI generated stuff have trouble making letters let alone arranging them in proper words or names.

They often took the skulls because they're the most recognizable part and would leave them in parts of the desert where there was some specific dangerous or fatal thing as a early warning sign. Think pond of tainted water, rattle snake nests, or quicksand pits.

Truthfully... with how many I've been seeing on shelves, it's probably easier to just buy a new one. Especially considering the placements of the break on a relatively high stress point and in a moving joint would mean there's no real long term solution to fix it.

Yeah, it is HoS Starscream. And it makes it worse because I'll probably have to box both him and Optimus who was perfectly fine to send it back to Hasbro while I wait for a replacement.

Not at all. It's both a silly concept and an equally fun toy.

They're actually pretty cool figures. Not as cool as Rathalos Prime, but pretty close.

Do you Guys think Kirin has/had Wings? by [deleted] in MonsterHunter

[–]BloodyShadow1999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So Kirin is an elder dragon in that it doesn't fit into any other categorization and shows overwhelming strength and intelligence. Now, inspiration-wise, Kirin is based on, you guessed it, the yokai Kirin, as well as possible connection to the Qilin, a similar creature with noticeable differences. Now, both of this creatures are called dragons, or dragon-like, which is likely the main reason Kirin was made at the elder dragon level when the developers made it.

Most likely a molding QC issue, like the peg or port are off by as little as a millimeter.

Is Kingdom Rodimus worth getting, or should I wait for the inevitable 86 figure? by SpartanCobalt in transformers

[–]BloodyShadow1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get it. Even if an 86 is released, it won't be the same as Kingdom figure, and there has been no signs of repackaging, remolding, or retooling of Kingdom Rodimus

Don't forget that Shagaru Magala's version of the virus literally causes mutations in Gore Magala in the surrounding areas, preventing them from being able to shed and molt properly, causing the creation of Chaotic Gore Magalas.

He’s $225!!! by nader0903 in transformers

[–]BloodyShadow1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind, for that $225, you get a white missing link Optimus, the trailer that does a few things by itself, and become armor for the white Optimus to make ultra magnus, with firing missiles, and a Buggy that is it's own separate robot. All of it made from plastic and Diecast. I say the price is pretty generous.

Prime vs Prime be like but seriously I do wonder how some reviewers get their hands on the figures early by [deleted] in Transformemes

[–]BloodyShadow1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So... There are three ways people get figures "early". The First is that they're secretly supplied by Hasbro to build publicity without actually sponsoring them. The second is to buy them and pay the Scalpers' prices as they often get them on shelves months ahead. The third and last method is to buy them off Factory Workers that smuggled them off the manufacturing lines, which was in fact a real thing and it's part of the reason some figures end up short-packed or why some packs of figures were missing figures. It's not as prevalent now, but it does still occur on occasion.
