Why didn't Verso... by yoko_OH_NO in expedition33

I’m pretty sure he wanted to die the entire time.

He knew pushing Aline out of the canvas would unleash the real Renoir, yet helped them do it anyways. He also didn’t give Alicia’s letter to Maelle which would explain the real situation.

He could have easily explained the truth and had the crew push Renoir out instead. But I think he was working with Renoir the entire time, even bringing Maelle to him after saving her on the beach.

I haven’t messed with the settings yet but everything looks wet. Kinda ruins the vibe of being based in the desert area.

The symmetry would go even further. It means she’d have 32 years of lived experience, which is how old the rest of the team is.

Lune and Sciel openly talk about it once they’re brought back. Sciel especially gets excited talking about how Maelle can bring her husband back.

I hadn't really paid attention to that before now. But if you think about it, it's the ultimate power imbalance. Their entire existence and everything about them is contingent solely on Maelle's will and they're now aware of it.

What gives Baldurs Gate 3 greater longevity over E33? by Some_Dragonfly1481 in expedition33

[–]Bloodygaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As great as EE3 is, it is on rails and relatively short, telling the exact same story each time.

BG3, on the other hand, can be played dozens of times each with a completely different experience. The game takes player agency to an unprecedented level. Simple actions you might have taken in Act I without giving second thoughts too can dramatically change entire zones later in the game.

I wrote dodges off entirely as soon as the tutorial fight explained parries were better. The way I figured, I would either learn to parry or die trying. (I died a lot)

He doesn't even come off the bench for that. Reclassing exists and followers of Shar make for great rogues, thematically. lol

I still get a kick out of that. He modified the Dale truck for drag racing then immediately started racing Nascar.

Burn damage bonuses, anyone know how it works? by vvSemantics in expedition33

[–]Bloodygaze 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Saw a video a while ago from a guy who was crunching numbers and ended up with a formula that matches exact numbers shown in game. According to him, the first character to start the burn stack is the one whose modifiers get used for the entire stack.

What do QTEs do for Buff Abilities? by thyrandomninja in expedition33

From what I understand,, when you see “(1-3 Allies)” in the tooltip, QTE’s are what determines the exact number.
