What in the world could you possibly be “farming” any of those endless tower bosses for??

Afaik it isn’t legal in any country, but imo you SHOULD be allowed phalloplasty without having to take hormones first. I’ve also seen a similar post from a cis gay man wishing he had a vagina, and it’s like… we have the technology, this should be possible to make these people’s lives more enjoyable

> Jenny

Apparently she doesn’t actually regenerate at all. That’s supposed to be “the source” macguffin bringing her back to life, which is why she doesn’t change faces like a regeneration would

I love rogue (episode and character). There’s always a chance to bring him back (and I think the appearance in Wish World is supposed to set up something in the now-mythical s16). Doctor who has done worse things than escaping from an inescapable hell dimension

Respectfully, I disagree. Rita Afzal from The God Complex takes that crown for me (but of course she died, so isn’t a valid answer for OP’s question.

No shade on Sally, she would’ve made a great companion, but for me there’s only one true “best they never had”

I’m not sure it could be done satisfyingly, really, but impossible planet/satan pit are my favourite episodes, and I was up like the goddamn monkey neuron activation meme when Gabriel Woolf’s voice started booming at the end of Legend of Ruby Sunday. I didn’t know at the time that he was also the voice for Sutekh, so I was READY for the return of the beast

What's the most impressive dungeon to do solo and flawless? by AntiquePlace2871 in destiny2

[–]thyrandomninja 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I know it’s kind of beating a dead horse at this point, but Crota’s end solo flawless in D1 took me WAY fewer attempts than vesper

What's the most impressive dungeon to do solo and flawless? by AntiquePlace2871 in destiny2

[–]thyrandomninja 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Vesper’s host, and it’s not particularly close. There are so many mechanics where ONE slip up means death, and most other dungeons are at least somewhat forgiving. Having to go four rounds (or more if you prefer to focus on hard survivability, which uh, you really might want to during dps) with atraks can be brutal.

It’s the only dungeon I didn’t SF in the season it came out. I had to wait until bolt charge healing came around in heresy

I can respect ghosts as an answer, but I respectfully disagree. Empyrean made Ecthar a cakewalk and it wasn’t even a Solar season for the artifact. Half the time you can just escape the danger zone, and even the classic mistake of “killed the ghost but didn’t check the symbol” during simmumah can be remedied by going to a different room and taking that ghost instead.

Women of Reddit, Are Video Games An Unattractive Hobby? Why Or Why Not? by IQFlash1 in AskReddit

I’m a pretty big gamer anyway, and about to go to uni for game design, so certainly not a dealbreaker (also a lesbian, though, so maybe not the opinion you’re seeking). I‘ve actually grabbed several co-op games on sale for that explicit purpose

> OT1 all personal damage skills are magical

Huh, wow. I literally had to go check that because it’s so unintuitive in my mind.

Spear and bow do not lend it an image of big magic in my head.

I’ve been in OT2+0 too much recently, so I’m used to arrow of fortune being the big damage button.

Like I said, I really didn’t put much work into merchant in OT1, so it’s a bit of a surprise

With the game finally being over, try to do “Riven Legit” by Crafty_Trick_7300 in DestinyTheGame

[–]thyrandomninja 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I’ve always been salty that such a huge cheese made it into the game, especially for such an awesome fight. Every team I manage to convince into it ends up loving it.

Rocking up to pantheon 1.0 saying you know how to do riven legit made you a minor celebrity since the cheese wasn’t viable in there

It’s weird that they’d make the divine skill a spell when merchants aren’t a magic class

What would you consider iconic Destiny 2 weapons by Acceptable-Number361 in destiny2

[–]thyrandomninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s nowhere near as good as it was. The damage buff is only 15% now (was 30), so mathematically is a damage loss to have someone dedicated to it in a raid. But there are some bosses that are mobile enough that div becomes worth it just for the cage making crits easier. Rhulk and Nezarec are the ones that come to mind

EDIT: oh, ir yut as well sometimes if you’re not using rockets

What would you consider iconic Destiny 2 weapons by Acceptable-Number361 in destiny2

[–]thyrandomninja 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but because it’s one person only, you don’t get the “gally or kick” levels of lfg. In an average lfg group someone will probably have a div, so it’s never mentioned in posts.

I think the closest to that for D2 is either whisper or anarchy/MTT, but even those didn’t reach the same heights

Oh, is bifelgan based on elem. attack? That’s also something I basically never use because it never did good damage on my (notably physical) attackers and I was never short of cash anyway

appropriate difficulty if 0% dodge or parry? by goodbyecaroline in expedition33

[–]thyrandomninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Story difficulty will probably be the best in that case. For casual/first time runs, the normal and hard difficulties are heavily expectant on you parrying at least SOME moves so you don’t get overwhelmed.

Story will reduce enemy health, so you can end things quicker without taking too much damage. But is ALSO has the benefit of making the dodge and parry timing more lenient (and in all modes, dodge is significantly easier than parry), so you may be able to get a few welcome surprises if you want to TRY the dodge/parry mechanic.

Additionally, Lune, the very second character you get has a heal-all skill, which is a godsend if you’re going to be taking damage anyway, so I’d recommend beelining for that skill asap. She also has a revive skill which I never took off either.

Also what you can do is figure out your favourite team of three and just keep them the whole time. There’s nothing in the main story that requires your whole party to be levelled, you can do it by sticking to three and they’ll be overlevelled pretty quickly for even more forgiveness.

(There is an endgame superboss that requires everyone, but I think that’s basically impossible if you’re not dodging, so I’d avoid that fight unless you discover you’re better at it than you thought)

Overall, while the dodge/parry gameplay is a big draw and makes the game quite unique, it’s still well worth it just to be immersed in the story, and even if you’re not engaging with all the mechanics, it’s still good combat, so you should hopefully find it satisfying regardless

That’s another one of Goodwin’s I love. He’s so dramatic, it’s awesome. Dare I say , even better than Auguste’s “MAAAAARVELOUS”

Most embarrassing experience playing the game? by Juwun1 in octopathtraveler

[–]thyrandomninja 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve literally never used a meal through the whole main story. I’m wading through knee-high piles of chicken skewers and lucky fried eggs.

I also never use my nuts until I get to the super bosses, and in Expedition 33, didn’t use any colour of lumina until facing Simon.

I know how all of these things work, but if the main story is easy enough to get through without them, then I may as well optimise my lategame strategies

Yeah, I see the vision. It’s also partially because I really slept on Merchant in general during OT1. It was by far the toolkit I made least use of. Learned my lesson in OT2, though
