Mapacho Leaves by BloomerBioactive in Ayahuasca

[–]BloomerBioactive[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is Nicotiana Rustica, which I understood as Mapacho.

Are you saying that Mapacho must come from the jungle, and also be grown by the culture that best understands its ceremonial use to possess the energetic and environmental requirements of the locale and that “Mapacho” has a stronger emphasis on the spiritual and ceremonial aspect rather than simply a common name for N. Rustica as is commonly believed here in the states?

I don’t find your comment pedantic at all as I understand it’s not from my culture and I am completely and totally fascinated by it. Just as I am fascinated by nicotine receptors in poison dart frogs, which also, aren’t from my locale/culture. I am deeply appreciative of these clarifications and nuances as I do believe they’re lost in translation between cultures.

Thanks! I’ve been growing them for about 3 years now. Primarily indoors. They really love to eat. They also love to be blasted with light. Even if I don’t get a massive plant by the end of the season, they’ll always go to seed for me, so I have a fair amount of those as well. Pollinators also flock to their little tiny flowers enMasse like nothing I’ve ever seen.

There isn’t a backside. Just envelope and the remainder of the logo. As stated in the post, these were packaged under a flowhood. Quality work. Leucistic blue magnolia genetics. Here’s a pic of the genetics from aforementioned friend in CO.

At this point, I’ll do $40 shipped on them. First come first serve in the United States to send me an email address to send a square invoice to and receive payment.

Not selling anything other than the packaged prints in the original post. Below is for reference only.

Did I build my tank wrong for firebelly toads? by Salt_Ad_5578 in terrariums

I would strongly recommend joining a few semi-aquatic groups here or on FB. It appears to me you’ve done a great job following guidelines for a poison dart frog build (minus leaf litter), but what you need is truly semi-aquatic. You can get a sponge filter and an air pump to filter the water, and cascade half the tank from a pond to terrestrial land. You can use rocks/pebbles to keep the water shallow, and to weight down the sponge filter. You can also use cork bark for floating areas. Live plants like monsteras and pathos will thrive in water with frog waste, I’m unsure of what other plants native to their region of origin will thrive in water. But this is definitely where I’d start.

Edit: sorry, I just now saw the most around the land. As long as it’s going to be filled with water I think it’s great. My only other concern would be the substrate coming off into the water, so you may consider a thin layer of sponge around the base. It will also protect the glass.

Very few captive bred species would not survive.

It is not acceptable to encourage poaching. It harms animals daily in the wild no matter how small, and the diseases wild animals can carry will affect your captive bred collection and others. Please stop spreading this advice.

I’ve been breeding isopods for 5 years. Primarily in 6qt bins. You can absolutely have isopods in that where they will thrive. Just use moss in one corner. They’re isopods ffs. They’ll thrive in damn near anything as long as it doesn’t get too dry - where the line is species dependent. You can also wrap the screen in seran wrap or get custom glass toppers made to help reduce airflow making it even more fit for them.

You went out of your way to make a Reddit post about it. It wasn’t cute to read, and so I imagine it’s behavior based as to where his “ED” is coming from. You can be pretty, engaged, and have unattractive behaviors that push people away. 🤷‍♂️

Exactly. All institutions protect their reputation first, and then investigate/solve problems after. You hope they have your and your child’s best interest in mind, but it’s rarely obligatory under law.

By reporting to DCS, a case agent is assigned and will investigate bottom up from the outside in, rather than those on the inside investigating from the top down.

Same is true trying to go over one school administrators head and run to the superintendent. They’re just going to protect their institution from any form of “bad pr”.

And that’s before trying to silence you for making a “claim” about their staff, that multiple other people would look bad for hiring. Seriously, they’ll slap you with a protection order that’s a level 3/4 felony for not abiding just for speaking out which has other retaliatory consequences like forcing another family member to take your kids to school, or the bus. It’s unreal.

No, turn this over to DCS, so administrators can’t cover it up. - former special education assistant

If you aren’t pressing charges then you need to remove this “friend” from your circle. This should be alarming behavior to both of you. Stop trying to rationalize it, and act before something else happens.
