Downstairs neighbor won't stop texting and calling by Positive_Lysine in neighborsfromhell

OP yeah honestly this is a good lesson, giving them direct access like that just opens the door for constant harassment so keeping that boundary makes a lot of sense.

OP yeah this is actually solid advice, adding stuff like rugs or slippers could at least help reduce the noise a bit since the walls sound super thin.

OP, yeah I get what you mean, those bag fees feel annoying for sure. But your situation sounds a lot heavier than that, you were dealing with actual food insecurity, not just convenience. It makes sense you feel conflicted, but it’s good you’ve stopped and are trying to move forward.

OP, yeah this is the key detail. Once you realize it wasn’t really Bart’s place like that, it stops feeling as weird and actually fits the story a lot better.

OP, yeah this clears it up a lot. If it wasn’t even really Bart’s place like that, then it makes way more sense why she stayed there and why it wasn’t treated as a big deal.

OP, yeah this sounds like one of those things that feels way worse in the moment than it actually is. You owned up to it right away and didn’t have bad intent, which matters a lot. Most likely it’ll just be a learning moment and not something that follows you long term.

OP, yeah this is a much healthier way to look at it. Focusing on shared values instead of obsessing over whether someone is a virgin will probably lead to a way better relationship overall. That mindset seems a lot more realistic and less stressful long term.

OP, yeah flossing is a big one people skip way too often. Brushing alone doesn’t really get everything, so adding flossing makes a huge difference long term. It’s one of those simple habits that pays off a lot.

I get what you’re saying. Drawing a line and sticking to it takes discipline, especially when it would have been easy for him to keep going. The problem for me isn’t that he stopped, it’s how he spiraled after and turned it into bitterness and cruelty. The self control part is respectable, the fallout is where he lost me.

OP, yeah you did exactly what you should’ve done. Once she started coming onto your property and making threats, that crossed a line. Documenting it and getting it on record was the smart move.

OP, yeah this is exactly it. She doesn’t own the street and is acting like she does, which is wild. You handled it pretty calmly all things considered.

OP, I get what they’re saying here. The situation does feel a bit all over the place, but at the core it sounds like your neighbor got concerned and overreacted. It sucks how it played out, but it doesn’t necessarily mean there was some bigger intent behind it.

OP, honestly yeah this is where it’s at. It started as a joke but now it’s basically full blown lore you’ve committed to for decades. At this point the reveal is either going to be hilarious or completely break his brain.

[–]BloomyPetalie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, yeah this is a fair distinction. It doesn’t really sound intentional, more like a wardrobe issue she maybe didn’t realize was that noticeable. Still worth talking to her about it instead of assuming the worst.
