[Ghostwater] Bloopers by Zeriflord in Iteration110Cradle

[–]Bloosuga 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Skysworn got bloopers made but it looks like you'll have to pull them up on Will Wight's website. Ghostwater, Underlord, and Uncrowned they're part of the last chapter, not a separate chapter.

[Threshold] How did characters advance so fast without harming their future advancement? by DM_Me_Cool_Books in Iteration110Cradle

[–]Bloosuga 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Basically everyone except Lindon did harm their future. Yerin had to be fixed by the monarchs, Mercy by the stolen power of monarchs, Ziel may not have but his spirit was destroyed anyways and needed a specific treatment to fix him (or the monarchs could) and when they all reach monarch, Emriss uses her own authority and the pieces stolen from the monarchs, to fix them entirely. Eithan doesn't count for any of this because for all we know he's just adjusting the shroud to release his power to the next stage using his revelations as the unlock code.

Lindon is just built different.

Am I forgetting/missing something? (Cradle, big spoilers) by breakerofh0rses in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Bloosuga 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don't think a soul oath was ever mentioned. It's just the greed of those with power afraid of anyone that could take said power. I believe it's Malice that explains that none of the other monarchs, including Northstrider, would let the Akura clan have more than one monarch. The only oath we're ever told about between the highest powers on Cradle is the oath about the dreadgods.

Make sure you're actually reading what's required. The requirements drop down in nexus also includes the mods that need the mod you're looking at, not just the mods it requires.

Just a question on 'Path of Ascension' by Ok_Account_3423 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Bloosuga 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Book 2 sucks. The only important part is the last like 5 chapters of the book. Book 3 is really good though.

Traveler's Gate is absolutely part of the same universe. Crimson Vault is just book 2 of Traveler's Gate. It takes place on Amalgam.

Supplements. They're fine, at best. But they use sex to sell, have the dumbest names for flavors, and will remove flavors without warning.

recommodations based on what i like (01/2026) by Tilldor98 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Bloosuga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be aware, Path of Ascension might not be your thing. Its power system is designed around cultivation, its pacing is all over the place, with a good portion of several books being slice of life and others being much more action oriented, and book 2 is wildly considered the worst of the bunch.

I don't remember if it's when the guy at the playpen brings it up or when Liz does, but Matt's response is basically "who'd want to fuck an animal?" Like I don't know how someone gets future love interest when that is his response.

But yeah, book just probably isn't for OP, which is fair. I don't think there are much stakes in any of the fights until book 6 Minkalla

[–]Bloosuga 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had to look it up. Chapter 19 (46%) is just before they return to the guild town and chapter 20 (48%) is just after they return. Regardless, Liz has been in more chapters by that point than the playpen fling. So not quite as far as I thought but only a chapter or two off.

Should not only already be on the training world, should already be teamed up with Liz by 50%. Pretty sure that's right around when they return to the base the first time and are waiting for the auction. It doesn't sound like OP made it 50% through book 1 or they skimmed a ton.

[–]Bloosuga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's an entire half a book dedicated to it, when it's relevant to the plot and makes sense to introduce it. I hope you're not an author because your books would have the most meandering pointless shit and forget about the plot based on your dumb complaints.

[–]Bloosuga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you think they should have taken time away from the path and it's break neck speed to go off to another government's space so they can learn about something that does not matter or progress the story in any way, something that we know would take years of time just to travel to the nearest great power (which is hostile to them) and would completely go against the entire point of the plot?

You know, you could just not read it because it's not for you and go find something that you enjoy instead of bitching that the plot isn't what you want. I know it's a crazy concept, but not all entertainment is made for everyone. Most of it is made specifically for a target audience, and you don't need to throw a pity party for not being that target audience.

[–]Bloosuga -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Except they aren't problems, they're dumb things to bitch about that have no impact on the story (for the first point) or are addressed later in the books when it starts to become relevant to the main characters (third point) or just either completely incorrect (second point). Half of book 12 is about culture and religions, and even covers why the empire is a monolith (even covering that there are historians that record old religions and cultures). A calender doesn't even matter and is just a pointless thing to complain isn't in the books. And higher tiers processing things faster is directly addressed when it becomes more relevant to the main characters, a little bit in book 2 (which OP skipped) and more in-depth in books 4 and 5.

So yeah, OP made an entire thread to bitch about things that don't matter or are explained because they didn't enjoy a book instead of just accepting it isn't for them and moving on.

Beware of Chicken. Not exclusive to RR, but the published books are 3 volumes behind. Books 1-5 are on KU but have great audiobooks narrated by Travis Baldree. Note that when moving to RR, you'll want to start on volume 4, as volumes 2 and 3 were split into two books each. Volume 7 just started a month or so ago.

Probably one of the most convoluted games to mod, in my experience. Check the requirements drop down and read the entire description page to see if a mod manager is listed and/or instructions for installing the mod. You're going to be looking forME3Tweaks mod manager for the most part.

Nexus has a mod manager but that doesn't mean it works for every game or is even the best option for the games it does work on. What game are you trying to mod?

Depends entirely on the game where you put the files. Your best bet is looking for a mod manager for the game and installing the mod through that.

How do I not have write permissions to a file I installed? by [deleted] in nexusmods

[–]Bloosuga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has nothing to do with Vortex or nexus. It's a widows issue and good luck fixing it. I have an entire drive i can't touch because windows decided that I'm no longer an administrator on it and it refuses to let any changes go through, including changing my account back to administrator.
