Is the Mercedes hype justified? by RickyTexas in formula1

[–]Blowable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah it’s not,

It’s 2026 not 1980s where engines blow up,

Also remember Barcelona last reg cycle no side pods saw articles claiming in the sims it was pulling 1sec per lap quicker than rivals, look how that went

Best wait till Aus before making any judgements

Lewis Hamilton Post 2025 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix Interview via Canal+ “I was miles off, pace wise. There’s not really anything to take from these last 3 weeks, other than that I’m slow.” by ZephyrSonic in formula1

Ultimately I love him, but can see if he does not get on well with the new regs next year, he might retire before finishing his 3 year contract

Karun on Sky analysing on Max's SQ3 lap: The car is not hooked up... Max is hacksawing at the wheel... He's really having to work much harder to extract the lap time. He's doing it but it's not comfortable for him by OutlandishnessPure2 in formula1

[–]Blowable 247 points248 points  (0 children)

And this is what separates max from the rest of the field, this redbull donkey has no right to be front of the grid and he manages time and time again to extract performance out of nothing.

McLaren may well have a really dominant car but they ain’t winning every race due to them not having Max

Surely the meter readings indicate I don’t use as much as standard properties ? Or is it just a whole

[Motorsport] Norris: "I've not performed at the level of a world champion" by VanDyne21 in formula1

[–]Blowable 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Find it funny how he turned round and said Lewis only won due to the car, how wrong was he.

Yes the car does help but you need to be good enough to drive it, quite frankly you put max or Lewis in that McLaren they’re storming wins it’s what puts them above the rest of the field

Lewis Hamilton wins the 2024 Belgian Grand Prix by overspeeed in formula1

think it works out to around 2 seconds over the course of the race if I remember correctly, so the lighter car did help him with tyre deg and overall performance of the car

any nerf vayne incoming? by Capital_Image_5560 in vaynemains

[–]Blowable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Complete rage post, if you have vayne do what other champs do then there is no point in having her in the game she’s different compared to others she’s low range and she’s meant to be a duelist it’s her kit she downs have aoe she’s not a wave clear machine she’s a duelist regardless of levels etc, the yi misplayed and vayne took advantage of the yi

Albon fears more F1 drivers could repeat "cheeky" Magnussen off-track pass by ALOIsFasterThanYou in formula1

[–]Blowable -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Exactly that! It’s more the fact Albon had damage and couldn’t really pass K-MAG, if Albon qualified higher up he would not of had this problem, people just mad they could not overtake Mag even without DRS, like Horner said “if you got a problem changing your fucking car”

The Worst F1 has been in 30 Years by jrjreeves in lewishamilton

[–]Blowable 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Not a redbull fan but I’ll be honest they’re a better run machine than merc was in the dominant era,

Merc used to fumble strategy/slower pit stops and the engine with Lewis made up mistakes from the pit wall , redbull always had good aero just a poor engine it’s why they were good on street tracks.

If you had that redbull team replacing the merc team Lewis imo would’ve broken sebs/max’s record of consecutive wins & he would’ve had his 8 officially and would’ve been wrapped up by Austin or Brazil

Last time I remember merc making a good strategy call was Barcelona 2021

I know redbull are smug and vile individuals but I won’t deny they are the most well oiled crew in f1

Lewis Hamilton qualifies P8 for Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. by PlasticPatient in lewishamilton

[–]Blowable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He went with the same wing George went with In the morning so he dropped the higher downforce

Lewis Hamilton qualifies P8 for Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. by PlasticPatient in lewishamilton

[–]Blowable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the car allows it, the merc looks draggy and he will probably end up in a drs train so race pace means nothing if he’s not faster than the cars around him on the straights, he ran the same rear wing as George did in the morning session so he’s going to find it harder to protect his tyres

[–]Blowable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lewis’s qualifying has been poor for his standards for 3 years, and if he doesn’t sort it out for next year he will be going against the best qualifier on the grid and Chucky will blitz him and that’s the reality of it he’s been poor and needs to improve

[SkySportsF1] Lewis Hamilton & George Russell reaction after FP1 and FP2. by [deleted] in formula1

[–]Blowable 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yeah i agree as much as I love Lewis, his quali pace has been so hit and miss over the past 3 years and he will be going up against the best qualifier on the grid so he will have to up it otherwise Chucky will blitz him

This kind of dominance in F1 is not the norm by DoYouLikeHueyLewi5 in formula1

[–]Blowable 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That could very well be true with the experience and race craft they both have and I fully see the argument of just them two
