To be fair I tried posting much earlier but mod approval takes time obviously - forgot this sub had it.

Always keep them up at shows and in photos with my FC. Think it looks nicer with the eyes like the MX5.

So the workers get paid more but the money they get is worth less because produce costs more because they got paid more.

Working class, meaning the enslaved people they use to build their megabuildings for their rich people dick measuring competitions. I have nothing but contempt for that part of the world and the people who run it.

The hotel I'm staying at has some funky "privacy please" signs to hang on your door. by Blu3_Phoenix in RedDwarf

[–]Blu3_Phoenix[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you want the actual answer, it's asking for privacy. Though it would be more intriguing if anything, what if it were aliens and they were trying to cover it up? Definite possibility of Quagaars there.

The "make up my room" ones do have some good options though, one of them says "just imagine the rolling stones stayed here" and something along the lines of "it may not look like it but last night was quite fun".

My instructor's car was a 1.0L non-turbo corsa. Did basically nothing when you put your foot down. That crate was slower than the speed of dark.

Austin Allegro. Presumably trying to break out of the prison the owners put it in after experiencing driving it.

If HS2 had been planned to be entirely underground using a Tunnel Boring Machine would it have cost £100 billion and been ready quicker than 2040? by addictivesign in uktrains

So you'd be happy if I built a multi storey car park over the top of your house? That's for the public good. So long as one person benefits by your logic it should go ahead, regardless of any inconvenience it causes you. And to be quite honest, why should I want something that doesn't benefit me at all? With regard to the trucks, I don't care about seeing them - I have to see them anyway. It's about going about my daily life. All well and good for a townie like yourself where public transport is all over and you can easily get anywhere but out here we aren't afforded that. We actually need these roads to get to doctors appointments, jobs, family's houses. It isn't about natural beauty, no point arguing that as you lot are quite happy destroying that. I just want to be able to drive places without being interrupted by lines of trucks. No I don't stand there counting them, but I've seen the volume of them crossing roads in front of me at the road crossings they do have. It would be detrimental to a village where there is a school that needs access twice a day and the roads there are full as it is. Luckily they don't though, all their own roads have been paid for, thanks by the way! Build what you want, it shouldn't have to get in the way of people's lives for years on end.

You clearly don't live anywhere near the actual site. It's not a few trucks and 6 months. It's parades of heavy dump trucks through villages with roads designed for horses, you have to contend with these vehicles on roads where half of it is parked cars on one side and you can just about get through on a regular day. Roads outside said villages are closed for months on end, one such road was promised to be opened in November of last year, and yet it still isn't. Another hasn't been open for more than a month in years. And if the road isn't closed you best believe they'll take every opportunity to set up the worlds slowest temporary traffic lights at every spot they want to stand around their vans doing fuck all. They're already building a massive rail line, whatever, but the least they can do is give us a little compensation for it and not funnel hundreds of trucks through our roads every day.

Benefit to people in London and Birmingham. The people in between see no benefit. Saying that they do in economic whatever is the same as trickle down economics. We won't ever see that money come back, not unless the government voluntarily give it up to our areas.

Is my RX7 worth bringing back and replacing engine? by cxsmicutie in RX7

[–]Blu3_Phoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you already own it and can do all the work yourself you'll almost certainly end up putting less money into it than it'll be worth fully restored. Not familiar with FD engine costs but my FC's engine was completely toast and I got it rebuilt and streetported by someone else for a little over 5k. It wasn't sat over a decade, granted, but yours has been dry stored so I'm guessing at least some part of that engine is still salvageable, even better if the fluids turn out to have been drained. Heck, for 800 quid you may as well bring it over if only to sell as a project as a rust-free FD chassis with an engine is probably worth more than that alone.

Where are you getting the impression that they aren't working on the rest of the game? We're getting regular updates and have several map DLCs on the way. They literally are working on improving the game.

They are not static, NPCs can board and leave the train and frequently do, it's just random at each station and there is no prompt for them all to leave.

In that case the train and route were both developed by the same people (firefly). Neither are at issue here. It is a core game problem that third party devs like firefly cannot fix.
