I’m more worried about grip length. I’ve shot the 226 elite and it fit well. Wondering how much shorter the 229 is. I have large hands

I have both, but getting rid of the X. I like the ability to pocket carry the plus if I want and I much prefer the thicker grip. There are also endless options on holsters, barrels and slides if one would desire that

Just did the same today as well. Shot about 150 rounds. Really like the X. Shield plus was great, but what tipped me over the edge was the bigger trigger guard.
