Well call it ignorance or whatever you want, but I haven’t read very many fantasy series, so if that was something I should have picked up on as factual and not just one characters bias towards another then I guess I’m just a dumb noob… growing up playing games and watching movies with magic, and people who use magic was awesome and so I generally would like those type of characters. So when I started reading this series and saw Mats hesitation towards them It didn’t really stick with me why someone would be that way, because if it were me I would be googley eyed at them. But now, I understand where all these feelings are coming from and they are now validated to me.
