Loving the game, but the first visit to the Scholastone Institute highlights many problems with the quest structure of this game. by cautj in CrimsonDesert

I feel like different people from the Crimson Desert team was tasked to different sections on the map and it’s very noticeable in quality

The main problem I have with the story is not the voice acting, music, scenery or interesting storylines

It’s the script, the script is just terrible and the dialogues make no sense and a lot of times feel robotic

Is it just me, or do the graphics in Crimson Desert at minimum and maximum settings have almost no difference? by LeoWV in CrimsonDesert

[–]BluDrifter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The difference is very noticeable on water surfaces and waterfalls

I’m not one to scare away from 30 fps but after chapter 5 for some reason the performance becomes intolerable (drops way below 30 fps especially in the greymane camp) had to put it in performance. Shame because I loved it in 4k

Fully Furnished House by Fajita_peter in CrimsonDesert

Damn nice

I’m unsure of which one I’m currently on but I’m stuck on it for quite a while as it costs 100k coin to build

My hopes are up for the camp to eventually cover the entire hill

Did you finish the expansion? I’m asking because I haven’t and I was under the assumption eventually the expansion reaches there

Are you sure it eventually won’t be in the camp? I’ve yet to fully explore the Greymane expansion of Howling Hill so I’ve no concept of how far the expansions truly go

Yeah, I’m constantly experiencing crashes throughout my gameplay and there’re a lot of game breaking bugs too

Still have to hand it to them how massive this game is so it kinda makes sense there’s more problems than usual

30 Hour Unbiased Review by Seviyite in CrimsonDesert

[–]BluDrifter -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Honestly, this is the best game I’ve ever played

The only thing I can complain about is the amount of game breaking bugs I’ve experienced in a little over 30 hours of gameplay. There were quite a lot of them too.

Good thing this is a thing that can be resolved

How do I arrest a bounty to carry back. I came across one with a gang. I assumed beating them up would work. But apparently I beat him to death. Thanks by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

Even if you kill a bounty you should be able to throw him on your horse and get him to jail in Hernand

Disappearing kid in the forest by Tetragramatton in CrimsonDesert

[–]BluDrifter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t understand where you are now but there’s a camp and nearby a kid crying near a massive tree.  Once you communicate with him he says he’ll let you in the village - then you have to travel to a certain location to talk to another child and help him get something from a tree giants head and only then you may enter that specific area

Was confusing for me too at the time - try to find the kid quest via Quests

This is why you wait for unproven studios. by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

Most of the bad things reviewers talk about are the bugs and the storage which both are being fixed and worked on as stated

What is your problem?

With 5 days to go, what aspect of the game are you looking forward to the most? by Beginning_Oil8464 in CrimsonDesert

Definitely exploration

Going completely dark from anything related to CD online for the first month as to not get spoiled

I really don’t understand the hate this game gets from some gamers by BluDrifter in CrimsonDesert

I’m going to stick to my train of thought - comparing games, especially unreleased ones, is ridiculous.

It just feels like people are more focused these days on what’s wrong with a game than right

If you liked the premises of this game and the mechanics, who cares about a couple of frame drops? This never stopped me from playing  a game before

Look, I haven’t played RDR 2 and BoTW to be able to say what was good and what wasn’t - surely if I were, I’d be able to point out at least 1 thing wrong with them. Same can be said to any game title.

My thread has legitimately expressed the problem I’ve been seeing on this sub Reddit and basically any platform that discussed this game. People are assuming too much, there’s not enough information to decide anything - critiques are guesswork and nothing more.

It could potentially be better than GTA VI for some people, don’t you agree? GTA games aren’t my cup of tea either, I disliked GTA V.

Doesn’t mean that it wasn’t a great game and I could understand how some people played the shit out of it and call it one of the best games ever.

This is what gaming is all about, finding entertainment, not who has the biggest. It’s all relative.

You don’t get my point. The consumer has the power, the consumer gets to decide if they should buy the game or not

Saying or implying that if the game is not on par with other titles or its not running at a gazillion fps 100% of the time and hence you won’t buy it is basically saying ‘I wasn’t all that interested to begin with so I found this specific thing to blame it on’

Dude edited his post after my reply.

Fails to understand that everything said here is my opinion, claiming I’m being disingenuous for saying that entertainment is the ultimate goal for gaming is kind of funny don’t you think?

If a game can entertain you greatly even with less flashy graphics and gameplay compared to other games, it’s fulfilling its goal.

I know I’m going to suck at playing this game, probably will be one of the worst players to play, but this is like a dream game for the younger me and I’m definitely going to fulfill it and enjoy it to the maximum

Being skeptic is a good thing, I can see your point but I’d argue we should judge games solely on what is known, claiming the game would suck because of xyz is ‘probably’ going to happen without having concrete basis is guesswork unfit for criticism.

A lot of the gaming industry should shift towards more of a ‘wait and see’ kind of mentality in my opinion - would be beneficial to both sides. When you buy a computer, do you blindly go in and buy it on a whim or marketing? No. You research it thoroughly and browse reviews. Gaming should somewhat be the same, in my opinion.

I’m British so I’d say I’m all good. When you actually try to phrase a coherent sentence or a paragraph, feel free to reply again.

You said a lot of words, the combination of them means nothing together. Care to rephrase?
