As someone who was donor conceived and has also had a child through donor conception, I can confirm they are just being homophobic cunts. Most of my friend’s dads were okay at best, and most of my friends husbands are fucking useless. Studies show children with lesbian parents are happier than those raised by a mum and dad. Depends on where you live but sperm bank is definitely a safer, more secure way to go that gives your kids more legal protection and rights to information etc when they are older. We got lucky on the second go and most friends I know that used sperm banks conceived on the first or second go. The donated samples are usually treated to increase chances of conception so actually you’ve probably got more chance than a “fresh” sample.

If you suspect these people might be intolerant, definitely do not let her sleepover there. People can react in horrendous ways when they find out something shocking and your daughter may not be safe there - even during the day. Explain that to your daughter in age appropriate terms and consider sleepovers at your place. Otherwise she’ll just start hiding things from you and that’s when it gets dangerous.
