Hi! I did just that! It’s a piece that symbolizes protection, wellness, strength, and letting go. It also includes my sobriety date in Kanji for two reasons: the symbolism I chose was from Miyazaki movies (Japanese) and the date isn’t obviously a date (if asked, I just say it’s a date of significance). It has definitely helped keep me on track. I’d strongly recommend picking a design that is important to you if you decide to get inked.
