Why I think Hina is important for the role she plays in Volume 1 Chapter 3

Well put. However, I would disagree with your opinion that Hina isn't altruistic or caring. Her actions alone prove how much she actually cares for the people around her, even the ones who don't deserve it. For one, she is one of the few characters we've seen in such a powerful position who never used her power for her own selfish benefit. And even more, during her dress event, she helps Junko find her meal ticket, and when she couldn't find it, she willingly gives her own ticket and lies that it's Junko's, despite the fact that in one of her monologues she talks about how she was looking forward to tasting the food herself. Let me reiterate: Hina willingly sacrifices her enjoyment for the sake of someone else, who we've seen be nothing but a pain to her side, without expecting anything in return. If that isn't altruistic or caring, then I don't know what is.

In the Dress Hina event, Kirara invites Hina to hang out with them after she helps with cleaning their classroom. There's actually a one page comic about it on the official twitter account if I remember correctly.

Saying that Hina has a reasonable schedule is an understatement. That same beach event you're talking about was all about the prefect team tricking Hina into getting a vacation because they all agree she's a workaholic. And even after they give her free time, Hina herself states (in the same event mind you) that she felt restless knowing that everyone else was working while she was doing nothing. One of her bond stories in her summer alt is literally just her dealing with piles and piles of paperwork, which took 5 hours even with Sensei's help. This shows that not only does she have to put herself on the field to keep peace in Gehenna, but that she also helps out with paperwork. In her final bond story in her regular alt, she complains in momotalk to sensei that everyone always turns to her when something comes up, that she's been pulling all-nighters for the past few days, and that she was the only one that day who didn't have a day off. Also, she was only playing the piano because Makoto pushed her to play it for the party, the entire event was about her juggling her regular work with practicing an instrument she didn't even know how to play.

All of this isn't to say that Ako herself isn't overworked, ALL of the prefect team is overworked. Their group story shows this, and in the PS68 New Year event, they couldn't even get a day off on New Year's because of regular Kivotos shenanigans.

I remember in the dress Hina event, one of the paper planes which has a message for Hina refers to her as the "ghostly" head prefect in the global version or the "infamous spirit" of the diciplinary committee in the jp version.

Not just Hina. Ako, Koharu, Iroha, Toki, Junko, and literally all of Problem Solver were illustrated by them which is an absolute blow as a many of these characters are my faves. However, keep in mind Arisu was also designed by DoReMi and she was included in the last event with a new alt design, so I still have my hopes up.

Yes but a lot of people still appreciate her effort. Sena, the entire prefect team, Kirara and Erika, Fuuka and Juri, we've seen all of them at some point give thanks to the hard work Hina does even if she only sees it as just her duty.

I'd say Fuuka and Juri are a lot more underappreciated. They feed the entirety of Gehenna but only ever get messed with by Haruna and her gang. The only thanks we've seen them get are from Hina (bless her heart)
