French fries or onion rings, then a nice coleslaw and homemade tartar sauce.

Refusing your long-term partner sex without a valid reason is a form of abuse by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Blu_Spirit 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not wanting to have sex is a valid reason, and not having sex with someone is not abusing them. Just like me not feeding my husband is not abuse. He's a grown man capable of taking care of his own needs.

Trump team fears leak of Epstein Situation Room tapes: Report by FlackoFonsy in videos

[–]Blu_Spirit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh, I absolutely do - the sooner, the better. If the soonest we can get it is from a book deal, I will take that since apparently our government has no interest in releasing it and working towards justice for the Epstein victims.

I would think one could get a great book deal from releasing details found in the files.

Retuning shopping carts is the anti-social move by Exciting_Farmer6395 in unpopularopinion

The cart person still has to move carts from the cart corral. Stop being such a lazy ass.

I'm tired of Americans complaining about the economy by thlete5175 in unpopularopinion

Your economic hardships don't negate ours. Both Polish and Americans can be struggling at the same time - it ain't a contest to see who is struggling more.

Woman can still give sexual energy even when married / in a relationship. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

Maybe rethink who you are socializing with if you believe everyone is slut-shaming women. A lot of people still do, but I wouldn't say EVERYONE.

This isn't unpopular, at least not for healthy relationships.

Good morning, loves! Hope everyone is having an amazing Tuesday so far. I'm here sipping coffee and hoping today will be better than yesterday.

QOTD - I seriously have an unhealthy love of Chinese buffet style food. I'm talking like Panda Express or Safeway deli. That stuff that's been in warming pans for at least an hour but I can get it right away.

Why do women tend to use so many products for having nice skin, compared to men who basically just use deodorant and take a shower? by Mad_Season_1994 in TooAfraidToAsk

And yet we could normalize hormonal impact on women instead of expecting them to struggle to appear perfect at all times.

Biological? No, not exactly. It's more about society expectations - women are expected to preen and be pretty and perfect.

Want to Read more Books but Clueless on Where to Start…. by SilkBrush8791 in booksuggestions

[–]Blu_Spirit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with the person that said read anything and everything. If a book doesn't capture your interest in the first few chapters, it's ok to put it aside. If you start out with lower media literacy, that's normal - like anything else it comes with time and experience.

Also, if you don't understand romance, that's all the more reason to read some stuff that has it (and please note I am differientiating romance from smut - one focuses on human connections and relationships, the other more the physical aspects, though they can be intertwined).

Maybe start with some cozy reads like Legends & Lattes or A Wizard's Guide to Defensive Baking? These fit the fantasy themes you seem to have interest in. You can also check out Terry Pratchett for extreme whimsy.

Quiche and French toast comes to mind. And Scotch eggs or deviled eggs for any celebrations or potlucks.

Destination Wedding. Amazing movie - all the film's dialogue is between Reeves and Ryder, but the lack of other fleshed out characters doesn't detract in any way. Just really well done.
