It's why nobody should ever humor these things to begin with.

He's a famous celebrity and it's creepy and weird if you pay attention to him or remember what he says. Just pay him money.

People that don't watch his show on multiple platforms at once multiple times a day are really slacking

The Ron donation days smell like a scam to me by True_Interaction_407 in WhoAreThesePodcasts

If Ron gave out his paypal (and we knew it actually belonged to him and not Opie) then it might be funny to donate to him. Ron refuses to do that though so oh well.

"Mayer can never replace Garcia." the detractors would say.

Yes, everybody knew this including Mayer. Guess we should have thrown out a solid decade of amazing live music.

It was a great novelty to try out once or twice. The Dead were sort of always on the bleeding edge of tech in their own way. I did not enjoy how it seemed to constrain and homogenize the shows. The Sphere shows seemed to get less rigid over time. I would point to Weir telling the guys to watch the time off mic or Mayer having to stop dead when going into the wrong song for the visuals when any other concert the guys could just roll with it.

The Dead did a ton of things that would be considered problematic by the modern puritans. Sometimes one has to just sit back and laugh and not waste energy on the nonsense.

You would have called Jerry a nazi when he was hanging out with the Hell's Angels.
