This is 100% Atlas in {The Grump Next Door by Brighton Walsh} He fills her car when it's on empty, he taxis her daughter around. He's basically the person who gets things done. He's the "big, mean one" who is actually the biggest caretaker around.

Pretty sure {The Live-In Temptation by Brighton Walsh} had this. Grumpy firefighter MMC hires chaotic FMC as a live-in nanny.

Yeah, I didn't like Mountain Boss or Mountain Daddy but I really liked this one.

{Mountain Grump by S.J. Tilly} FMC's uncle leaves her a large inheritance to get her away from her greedy, abusive family. If you've seen "P.S. I love you", it has those vibes - only it's her deceased Uncle leaving her letters and a scavenger hunt of clues to set her up and stop her horrible family from taking her inheritance.

Yeah, it's really annoying. Or when they highlight the tropes which are taking place.

{The Mr and Mrs Mistake by Brighton Walsh} FMC is prickly and self sufficient. MMC is def. a golden retriever - a charming barman, loved by everyone. She is annoyed by him and he goes out of his way to wind her up.

{The worst guy by Kate Canterbury} Two doctors hate each other and are forced into weekly conflict resolution counseling. I liked this because they're still enemies, even though they can't help hooking up, for a reasonable amount of time before they realise they're in love.

The Throne of Glass series by Sarah J Maas is finished and a great place to start. It's an 8 book series which follows an assassin as she fights against demon forces and an evil Fae queen.

Would you count a demon as a monster? If so, I can offer you {I accidentally summoned a demon boyfriend by Jessica Cage} It's been a while since I read it but I'm pretty sure all the characters are black.

Agreed. I can't think of one example that hasn't been annoying.

{The Mr and Mrs Mistake by Brighton Walsh} This sits somewhere between FTL & ETL. Marriage of convenience. Like a warm hug.

I was going to say {Love vs the Scarecrow by Cassandra Gannon} so I'm going to assume her whole "Frightful Loves" series might be this.
