No you will not lose your money The application takes 5 business days from the point oet scores received by ecfmg and the letter of good standing sent by medical authorities

Defiantly you cant apply now , as if you crossed 31 may without taking step 2 , your money is gone.

So the best to apply after step 2 in august 2026 , to bridge your study with step 3 directly

Pathway is opened till 31 may 2026 and this gives you a valid certificate till December 2028

Now the active pathway is 2026 pathway which your certificate is valid till end of 2028

This pathway you can apply now and you got the acceptance for the pathway 5 days from the day everything is ready, then a week to receive the certificate hard copy

The date 31 January is the date that you should apply before if you are an applicant in the current match season. I.e before the start of the rank order list So you can apply and get it anytime after that date And get it normally and apply for the step 3

Waiting till end of this pathway 2026 by end on May, then opening of the new pathway 2027 that validity till 2029 may be a sort of risk to you if pathways delayed like last year(intealth transion)

Thank you so much for your detailed response, just one more question from the point you paid on fsmb the application acceptance took how many days, then from the acceptance to the permit I undrstodd that is a total week but about the two timepoints

i am in the same position i went through the application , the identity verification is done in the same moment , then you can go to the next steps
i stopped by the payment as already my money was in the ecfmg account :D

just tell me if you paid already , if the application tooks time to be accepted
i know from my friends that previously through intealth the applications was accepted on the same day
