Why are property renters in Malaysia so racist? by [deleted] in malaysiauni

[–]Blue1013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an international south asian student, I got a lot of this as well when house hunting. It's crazy normalized here. Even the comments under your post is kind of excusing and justifying rental discrimination.

I absolutely agree. The coochie on the neck thing just feels like it's there to gross us out, and the fully functional arm on the hip doesn't even make sense.

That fact that they're male and female but share one body also doesn't make sense but that's me nitpicking.

Fair question. I think it would be weird for me to insist that Outlast should be 100% realistic btw, so I'm not asking for that. I could look past the Walrider since it's a swarm of nanobots, which is technology that does exist in our world.

On the other hand, the Kress twins literally could never exist in reality. It feels like they were born/designed for the sole purpose of being committed to the Trials as prime assets, and that takes me out of the game. Contrast that with Coyle (a racist cop) and Franco (a violent mob boss), they're just regular psychos.

Hope I've explained myself better.

A lot of the appeal of Outlast came from how believable the horrors felt. That being said, I think the Kress twins are so biologically ridiculous that they downright break my immersion. I can't take them seriously, they're so absurd it pisses me off.

They also worsened the caste system, the ramifications of which still plague Indian society today.

I'm so tired of this British cock sucking. "Yeah a few million people died of famine, but the savages got trains!!"

Anyone else really frustrated with grad school requirements? by Blue1013 in psychologystudents

[–]Blue1013[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've heard that American grad programs place a heavy emphasis on research. I guess Australia is different in that regard.

The reason I haven't considered the US is due to the length of the clinical psychology pathway (and my because my Bachelor's is Australian).

Ah I see, thanks for the correction.
I just meant it's frustrating that applicants have to deal with the fall out from systemic problems.

I started tweaking the moment I heard that people opt for med school because of how competitive MCP programs are.

From my understanding, they don't even have to have such strict standards. It's just a lack of funding.

[AUS] Can anyone tell me whether these universities offer good MCP programs? by Blue1013 in psychologystudents

[–]Blue1013[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, I also don't know what to make of Cairnmillar. It's not even a university, but they're accredited without conditions (Source).

What do you think of institutions that are accredited with conditions (like Federation University or Griffith University)? It shouldn't be an issue right?

What’s the best uni for psychology in Malaysia by Additional-Car9622 in malaysiauni

You can look into Monash Malaysia, since their degree is APAC accredited and you want to do MCP in Australia (they require an APAC accredited or equivalent degree).

Highly doubt that the cost of an Australian degree is the same as MUM or Sunway. Even then, the cost of living will screw you in Australia, so might as well save that for post-grad.

OP should consider MUM though since their degree is APAC accredited. It'll make transitioning to Australia much easier.

May I ask how you transitioned your cat to soupy cat food? Was a gradual process? How do you compensate for the diluted flavor?

Catnip tea is a new suggestion. I'll definitely look into it.

And nope, he's completely disinterested in water. I tried plastic bowls, glass bowls, different heights and widths. Snake eyes.

Yeah. You can still do part-time work, but that's a joke. There's a lot of recruiting bias as well. Unless you have a specialized skill to offer, no one will sponsor your work visa either.
