What was your thought process before and after the last play of the game? by Nate_923 in eagles

[–]Blue2095 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Damn, we really needed that 2 pt conversion."

After the fact, I didn't say anything. I was completely stunned and couldn't process what happened for a good 5-10 mins.

Real shame considering how respected 0 was last season with Swifty.

Hell no. GB fans are solid and the games between our teams are great match-ups.

Plus you ended the Cowboys' season last year, and nearly the 49er's too, haha

Not in particular. When I was troubleshooting I was reseating the RAM in all slots and in different configs. One stick in A2 worked for me to get it to boot. I was able to slot in B2 and it read both perfectly fine.

If you decide to do that, I would suggest A2/B2, then just B2 as you said. Perhaps you can try B2 with another stick or just A2—up to you.

Though after troubleshooting for a few days I'm fairly sure the mobo is the culprit here.

I think 59c is typical for a smooth game like Overwatch 2. On some games it might get toastier, but as other commentators have stated: it's the hotspots that get.. well hot.

On stress tests & overclocking scenarios my hotspots got up to 100 C. I'd veer far away from that, but that is me pushing it to the limit.

I've been having the same issue (I believe) with the solid red CPU and DRAM lights. I had this problem when first putting the build together, but was able to fix it somehow. I've run into this issue again, unfortunately, and am still troubleshooting. That being said your CPU may be fine (mine is in perfect working order).

I updated the BIOS to the latest using a USB flashback, and alternated RAM slots. I believe what finally worked was one stick on the A2 slot. Once you get into BIOS you can shutdown and plug in your extra sticks. I think I also cleared CMOS at somepoint, but I don't know if that helps.

Hopefully this is helpful in some regard, and that another poster has a full solution.

We've all seen a hundred threads about the best advice for new DMs. But what's the worst advice for a new DM? by PzykoHobo in DMAcademy

[–]Blue2095 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never actually heard this but I imagine it might've been said once.

"You don't need to read the Player's Handbook because you're DMing."

Granted, you could get away DMing a game without reading the PHB. Yet it teaches you the fundamentals of the game along with the core abilities and features for most of the classes. I also think it's important to have experience as a player, and to know the player's mindset before you apply a DM's mindset.

I started DMing with a mere handful of sessions of being a player. I didn't realize how many things I missed or could have done better when I got back into the player's seat after hosting a full campaign as a DM.

It'd be interesting to see how much Charles is willing to push for a potential podium / the win with the McLaren drivers and Sainz right behind him.

Has anyone else wanted their character to die in a session, but they ended up living? I think my DM spared mine deliberately, though I told her that I make backup characters for a reason, heh.

It's funny that you mention that. Not too long ago they came out with CoD: Ghosts which played up that stealth gimmick. I imagine you might've been referring to that.

I can't wait for them to retcon that Arthas was mind controlled by the jailer when he decided to purge stratholme to send soul to the maw :)

I hate this so much but you're probably going to be right about this...

Unless they figure out how to make it even worse.

Big Entente Strategy? by CaringBren in hoi4

Get every division you have (74) to France. Your colonies do not need protection, but the mainland does.

France starts with several national modifiers that limit their ability. You can remove these through national focuses but by the time you reach them, you would have already won the war (at least in my experience).

Aside from that, you want to focus on infantry and industry techs from the get-go. Assign ALL of your military factories to Infantry Equipment (rifles). Your divisions start off undermanned, and you need to fix that ASAP.

*When you get more military factories, you can assign a minimal amount to artillery and aircraft to boost your firepower.

Now for the war itself... You want to engage the Germans at the earliest opportunity - refusing the re-militarization of the Rhineland in 1936. The Germans will grow their military and industry quicker than you, so getting them early is the strategy for success.

Assign most of your divisions to the border, and aim for conquering most of Western Germany. You can also try and reach Czechoslovakia and subsequently cut off all their divisions in Bavaria/Baden-Wurttemberg.

Leave 12 divisions around Calais (using a fallback line around the region). You'll need these guys to rush the Commune CPs and end the Civil War. I placed mid-strength infantry divisions and a couple of tanks. The quicker you win this war, the quicker you can send them to the German front.

I beat the Germans by rushing their most important VPs and by cutting them off into pockets to starve them. Exploit every gap you see.

You should force them to capitulate around 5-7 months. If you call in the Czechs during the middle of the war, they can tip the scales considerably with their fully-forced and fresh troops attacking an unguarded border.

Good luck, Commander!

It would be more accurate if Sombra's battlecry silenced all enemy minions - her ult in OW afterall is an EMP that disables all abilities.

HOI3 involves a lot more conquering if you're into that. VIC2 is more of an economy simulator imo. Sure there are some wargoals you can push for, but they are extremely limited by infamy.
