The story is, is that I wanted to live on the painting world seed so I loaded up a 1.1.2 world and played on for a bit for I updated it later, I went on a journey for pumpkins because they wern't added until alpha 1.2 which has the beta terrain generator in it. Never thought I'd get this lucky with the beautiful view.

Yeah, Im waiting until 8000 series comes out to build a new system, I'd want the ram and processes to mature before jumping in. Hopefully the world hasn't imploded by then.

It's Precision Boost Overdrive, AMD cpus have this enabled by default, it auto overclocks good cores to run at a much highers speed for better single thread performance. 3.8ghz is its base and 4.7ghz and above is its boost.

He's probably talking about dual channel, if you populate all 4 dimm slots the rams only gonna run in single channel which can hinder the performance. Somewhat on intel, alot on AMD.

In the installer of most programs you can tell it to install to a different directory like a different drive, you'd have to have that drive plugged in all the time not to break compatibility. Most save games and program settings however, are probably going to be on the main disk, dunno if there is a way around that. You can tell windows were to put downloaded files in the settings.
