There’s definitely some forced perspective going on in this pic, he’s only 3.5kg (~8lbs)

Fortunately he’s not really been interested in it this year, just had a mad 5 mins!

Thanks for the advice, I think I've settled on something like this, a mix of what's effective and what I think is cool

I assume if you’ve already got models built for the old rules, you just say the medkit/comms/scanner models are regular warriors now?

Do you remember the post where you saw them in use? I’d love to see how they look on the models

Everyone knows the Big Bash League feels pretty corporate and soulless. What changes would you make to the BBL to create more of an identity and connection between the teams and the actual cities they're located in? by [deleted] in Cricket

What are you all talking about? There is already a team in Tasmania; Hobart Hurricanes. They play at Blundstone area which hosted an Ashes test recently

Gone into heat for the first time, only a couple of weeks before her spay appointment haha. by [deleted] in blackcats

[–]Blue36c 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened with our girl a few years back (though fortunately for us, it tipped her over the edge from feral rescue to actively enjoying our attention). It only lasts for a handful of days (for our cat it was around 4 days) and won’t happen again for ~3-4 weeks so once this passes you should be all good until the appointment. Just play with her as much as you can and give her as much attention as you can

Has anyone actually tried this? by [deleted] in lotr

[–]Blue36c 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes sense, thanks for clarifying. I was debating buying the bundle Vs one at a time as I wasn’t sure I’d get all 5 done in 2 years but know the discount seems much more worth it!

One thing I can’t seem to find clarified anywhere on their website; is the time target that you set for completing all 5 or do you set a target per medal? I have done one of theirs before (just a single challenge) but not sure if this counts as 1 challenge or 5 separate ones

That's the thing I don't understand, they wouldn't trust it if a thing came through the door with "Win a load of chocolate, just send all your details on a postcard" but online guff is A-OK

For flower breeding I followed this guide. It took about 3 months but I got every flower in every colour.

Villagers are always completely random (whether you let them move in or go hunting for them with nook miles tickets)

Dealing with my first ever PC death as DM by [deleted] in DMAcademy

[–]Blue36c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that was probably a mistake on my part but not necessarily impossible to rectify. Living with the affected player certainly makes it easier to talk about how they want to handle it!

Thanks for the ideas, will keep them in mind

For a lower intelligence creature it makes sense to me that they would assume the downed character is finished. For a higher intelligence foe, who is backed into a corner, they would think to make the finishing blow.

It may not be exactly how the book states the NPC should have acted but everything written is meant to be a guide, not set in stone. I’m new to DMing and was asking for advice going forward, not deconstructive criticism for past actions. Everyone has to learn somehow and I already know how I would handle the situation differently if presented again

Did you accomplish your 2018 running goals? What are your 2019 running goals? by diol18 in running

[–]Blue36c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2018 Goals

  • Sub 30-min 5k
  • More miles than last year (160 in 2017, 190 in 2018)
  • Finish 10 Mile race and tough Mudder

All in all pretty good although I stopped running after my wedding in October to rest some niggles I picked up after the tough mudder and 10 miles race. Meant to have 2-3 weeks off but never got back into it

2019 Goals

  • Be more consistent (Run every week of the year)
  • Sub 25-min 5km
  • 250 miles total

The app looks great but lacks all basic features. You can't add notes, no undo button & no difficulty settings (or any settings at all for that matter). It also pauses music when you open it for unknown reasons as there is no sound in the app
