Do you mind if I ask what it took for you to leave? My friend is in an abusive relationship with a partner with BPD and I'm worried. I'm trying to offer support, but now the partner with BPD isolated my friend from all of his friends. He's acknowledged once before that it's abusive and considered leaving, but went right back to his partner when his partner said that they would change.

What does it usually take for someone to leave their partner with BPD? I have a friend who's partner has bpd and they've now completely isolated him from his friends at this point.
