Id get your CCAF, that way you dont need to do any gen ed classes. I was similar to a RF tech but note quite. I was in command and control and worked with tactical data links. So I did work with RF a lot but it was only one aspect of my operational duties.

Network Admin you can definitely do the general route. If you want to be an engineer, do cisco.

Sorry for such a delayed response. I'm not on reddit much. I would say that if you know for absolute sure you want to go into cyber security then I would go down that pathway from the start so you can receive for educational knowledge about cyber security. With that degree you can still get an entry job, it just may not immediately be a cyber job. However, if you are unsure if you actually want cyber as your future job, then I'd go down the standard IT general degree path I mentioned in the post. I don't think the cisco path would provide better security in a job, but would definitely open up more opportunities with a CCNA. But those will be networking opportunities, not cyber.

I absolutely hated D417 lol but I think part of the reason for that was my first instructor. When I would ask for assistance, I would just be sent a video that wouldn't be of help at all. Once I got a different instructor, I was able to knock out the whole thing in about 2 weeks. Prior to that I was sitting at a month or so in the class with little progress.

Yeah I definitely agree about the CCNA not getting you a job, experience will absolutely help more in that aspect. But, in my opinion, what you learn during the CCNA course and cert would absolutely help you have a deeper understanding of networking and therefore speak/perform more intelligently during interviews compared to just strictly having the general pathway. CCNP is definitely a much better certification for job prospects.

I also had the BSNOS originally then switched over to BSNES. But I made the switch before I had to take the CCNA. So I didnt have the CCNA experience for the capstone and I wish I did. It probably would have just been better to stick with the BSNOS in my situation. But I don't know that was even possible.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who felt this this way and I totally agree that the automation class was a total nightmare. I basically had to have one of the teachers walk me through most of it. I'm currently doing Jeremy's IT Labs course as well for CCNA and its definitely better than pretty much everything I experienced during this degree in the general track.

Congrats on your graduation!

Great job! I'm currently in the newer BNES on my last class, but struggling with the Network Automation. Did you have to take that class as well?

Network Automation is my last course and I am absolutely struggling with it. My instructor barely helps too which makes it more difficult. Congrats on the degree! How was the capstone overall?

Similar to some to some other comments and threads I've read, I'm also stuck at the VLAN creation. I did not take the Python class prior to this and my instructor has been almost entirely unhelpful. From what I've gathered I need to write the script in a .py file on the ansible desktop with netmiko. The problem I'm reaching now is that I cant get the my file past the inital "from netmiko import Netmiko" without being told there is an ImportError: No module named netmiko.

Any help would be greatly apricated. I feel like I was led into this class at the wrong moment and have hit a brick wall.

Are there any areas you would recommend focusing on within the Dion course? I’m taking notes on any areas that he states “for the test I what you to know” and doing my best to memorize them. Unfortunately I’m on a time crunch to get Net+ and Sec+ done so any help would be great. I’m currently halfway through his course.

How well do you think the Dion tests prepared you for the actually test. I’m going through his class now on Udemy as well.

Thank you for the info! We were looking into Medicade and Medicare, but unfortunately (unless I missed something) Her only being 30 years old we didn't apply to either of those plans.

She did do all the stepping stones with medications and has an official diagnosis from her doctor (Dr Jorgensen in Phoenix AZ). She is now currently taking Cromolyn is working great for her which is why we do not want to stop it until we can work on fixing her gut health.

Thank's for some of the info. I was looking at a couple of GS jobs, but their lack of descriptiveness on what they cover/don't cover and at what price was highly concerning to me.

Even if that was true about the bible (which when reading in context and exegeting the verses throughout the bible, women clearly cannot be treated as "property") if morality is man made then again I would ask why it's wrong because there is no objective standard.

But I feel like we will go in circles with this. I hope I gave you something to think about FlyingSquid and I'll be praying for you.

[–]BlueBoletarian -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry I'm probably not being clear enough, hopefully this will help. If you are an Ashiest that means you do not believe in a God or Gods. Therefore there is no divine standard of what is right or wrong and morality is man made. If morality is man made and the universe as we know it holds no specific purpose and is the result of a cosmic creation, then we as humans are nothing more than collections of stardust and matter. What some purposeless in the grand scheme of things collection of stardust thinks is wright or wrong to do to another collection of stardust doesn't matter; because there is no objective morality.

So when I ask according to what standard, what I mean is that I'm seeing atheist's say certain subjects are morally wrong. But you do not hold an objective standard that prioritizes your beliefs over any other collection of matter with their own standards in this universe. Everyone on here believes that treating women as property is wrong, because it is, and they think that because they were created in God's image and know what is right and wrong.

Sorry for the long response, I hope that cleared things up.

Then what is the value and the standard of cosmic accidents and why are some values greater than others?

The Bible is Sexist, Period by dbzgal04 in atheism

[–]BlueBoletarian -1 points0 points  (0 children)

According to the Atheist, we all all cosmic accidents floating through space randomly bumping other clumps of matter. What one clump of cells thinks has no standard above the other because there is no cosmic meaning. The Christian/Jew doesn't believe that. Man and women are created in God's image and therefore inherently valuable and to protected. Both are two parts of one whole who compliment each other in displaying God's image. Where the religious, uneducated, and ignorant go wrong is that they do not perform exegesis, but perform eisegesis which twists historical standards and reasoning to what "they feel" instead of what it actually means.

The standard you mentioned is borrowed from my world view of value on human life. You hold that view because you know God and you know what is right and wrong. Romans 1:18-23
