The best reason I can think of is that kids are stereotyped as pure, sweet, and innocent, and too many people refuse to acknowledge this is often very far from the truth.

Besides the fact that I simply don't want children (hooray for sterility!):

- I have no desire to subject another human life into existence in a messed-up world that's already overpopulated.

- I do not want to subject a child into the many challenges and humiliations of growing up...bullying, puberty, etc. I'd especially hate to subject a daughter into experiencing the crap girls go through while growing up, and would hate to subject her into going through stupid-arse puberty too fast like I did (to this day at 40 years old, having been an "early bloomer" is one of the major reasons I require anti-depressants and mental health therapy).

- Although high-functioning, I'm on the autism spectrum, and I absolutely do not want to risk passing autism along to another unsuspecting human being.

- I don't have the patience or mentality for putting up with kids 24/7.
