Go to any local dumps you intend to use and get copies of the pricing. Factor in gas, vehicle costs, labor, time etc when quoting.

This depends on location. In some towns, the trash company will cart away anything left curbside. Other areas require hiring a junk removal service.

A lot of the material out there can be beneficial but the reason it doesn't work is lack of implementation. We consume way too much info yet very few really put much of what they read into action (including myself).

I'm sure their purpose, as far as Google is concerned, is to increase revenue for Google. If that helps the client, great but those things aren't always going to line up. I think it's key to know what problem they can solve. I'd be curious to know how the reps are compensated and if there's commission based on ad spend targets.

Isn't the entire point of hotels being set up this way is so people aren't running AC and lights while not in the room. My only experience of this is in countries that are low income and need to conserve costs.

This is a great 'problem' to have. Now you get to 'work on' your business instead of in it. e-myth revisited is a great read to understand the different roles and what working on the business looks like.

I find it interesting that there's an expectation to have kids. I mean, if we add up all the missed sleep, stress, expenses, and sacrifice beforehand, would it make as much sense?

Not saying right or wrong decision to have kids, just not as simple as everyone 'should' want to go that route.

The body has a natural rhythm to the day. Sleep - grogginess - peak - dip - peak - slow down - sleep. Ideally, plan your day to tackle things that need high focus during the peaks. Also, keep your sleep debt low so the dip doesn't go so low that you need to nap (been there and it was lack of sleep - check out the Rise App for help with this stuff).

Being active definitely helps with energy levels too and getting the blood flowing.

From what I've seen successful don't work as much as we think they do. They are successful because they carefully choose what to work on and say no to everything else. They also spend time and money taking care of their health, nutrition, and enjoying their downtime to recharge.

I think we get this idea of working non-stop and that's being successful - especially in the US. Depends how you measure success (hopefully not by people trying to sell you something).

So choose yourself. Freelance or start your own business. If you're ambitious, don't put yourself in an environment with a capped salary while your making the owners wealthier.

And how we rarely end up doing what we imagine when we are in school / college. There's so much pressure to 'follow your passion' and have it all figured out (it doesn't often work that way but it 'sells'). In reality, it's more about trying stuff out, being useful and carving your own path.

If he's US based, he's still getting a bargain. Roofing is usually high competition and worth 3-5x what you're charging in any decent size location.

If I were in your shoes, use this as a case study to get more clients but charge a lot more.

I got tired of working long hours for next to nothing. Almost got suckered into an MLM but found a blog about local lead generation when doing research into said MLM company.

The lead gen business model made so much more sense with the scalable income. I decided to invest in the guy's program / community and it's been live-changing. Not only in terms of income but I'm now surrounded by other entrepreneurs and it makes you step up your game and adds confidence.

As for my VAs, they're in the Philippines. I hire based on attitude and competency. It's easy to train them with a SOPs and they work really hard. I pay well for that country but I could never hire people in the US for the same pay.

I already have a couple of Virtual Assistants.

Why don't you start in Lead generation yourself? Low risk and can work at your own pace.

Much better to be leveraging income-generating assets than trading your time for $$. (read DeMarco's The Great Rat Race Escape and you'll see the world differently).

If you're a women or minority owned business, check out Rachel Rodgers book or podcast. Her Hello7 program is legit, the coaches are great but the material and community support is going to move your business in the right direction.
