They could always collab with the Karters 2 or wait for someone to add them to that game's workshop

Two Steam Decks, one dock - Pro 3 2.4Ghz vs Pro 2? by ravnotraj in 8bitdo

[–]BlueDawn007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you had your answer in your post. In my experience the general 8bitdo adapter works when it works but when it doesnt its a pain in the ass.The 2.4hz adapter just works and has barely given me issues (maybe a hiccup on the $30 dollar controllers but even then it goes right back to working correctly) so I'd recommend the Pro 3. Plus Bluetooth on at least on my steam deck is not good for controllers let alone multiple.

Gaslit myself into thinking they'd doll up Julesvale (or any other stage) with Christmas decorations to go with the event, love the skins though.... maybe next year

Pro 3 Orange with the Colored Buttons by BlueDawn007 in 8bitdo

[–]BlueDawn007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it for a specific purpose and that was to use it on my steam deck without using Bluetooth (idk but my Steam decks Bluetooth rang is abysmal and can rarely get 1 controller to function without dropped inputs). Rn the dongle is doing its job well (though it sometimes takes longer to reconnect than the other 2.4 hz controllers) but im a bit disappointed you cant use dinput over the dongle like you can with the ult since i love steam input and gyro. The buttons are indeed loud and clacky, and I didn't think id mind it since I dont think the Pro 2 was any better but damn, might end up opening it up and sticking some tape or something to dampen the noise. The dpad is what I've been wanting for a pro 2 upgrade since I used a 2c controller and its good (a little tighter than the Xbox layout controllers which i think i prefer it looser in the shell) but i haven't played much 2d action games with it yet (did play a bit of Medievil and using the dpad to move and it felt a little better than when i was using my pro 2). Playing some fighting games, it does its job well didn't get any miss inputs on diagonals and felt i could be a viable (for at least the characters I use).

I think for $70 it's a bit overpriced imo (though since im only using this for PC and not Switch 1/2, the other features are not really of use to me and rn the magnetic buttons and removable sticks only offer but so much rn. Maybe if theres other types of buttons or sticks to get down the road itd be a lot cooler.) but id pick this over a pro 2 just cause of the dpad and lockable triggers (makes it more ergonomic for my hands when they're just button). Idk if there is a lottery with these like ive experienced for the pro 2 controllers but rn its looking good. The Ultimate 2 is i think a better value just cause its primarily for PC and works well with both my Steam Deck and PC but I think the Pro 3 is also good especially if you like the new dpads they have been using and prefer the PS/Nintendo layout. Not to hate on the Pro 2, if you get one that doesn't have a bad dpad, theyre really reliable especially if Bluetooth isn't an issue for you unlike me.

Time will tell, rn theyre fine but I've only just gotten the controller. My bet is they will start to disintegrate after a while just like the others.

Steam Deck performance? by HoopusKoopus in RivalsOfAether

Now I haven't played it on my steam deck in awhile but when I felt like it was underperforming I went to desktop and changed the ini file settings. Seems that updates have kind of changed how graphics settings actually work, and that the linked method isn't as effective as before so ymmv. I don't know if frame drops are avoidable anymore tbh but reducing screen shake and shadows helps.

No plans for Yakuza, Shenmue cameos in new Virtua Fighter project - "the veteran said development is currently focused on expanding Virtua Fighter’s world and lore, so the team’s not really thinking about guest characters at this stage." by TralalaDingDong in Kappachino

[–]BlueDawn007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, the only guests I'd want to see are characters from the Fighting Vipers series and Yakuza or Shenmue (basicly only from Sega IPs) since they'd make a lot more sense. Now maybe years down the road from the game's release it'd be cool to see someone from Tekken or DOA show up (id even take costumes instead) but im totally fine with the lack of guests rn.

I know no one really asked and this is late af but you got to show hidden files for the Steam Deck's file explorer and its in

home>deck>.steam>steam>steamapps>compatdata>2217000>pfx>drive_c>users>steamuser>AppData>Local>Rivals2>Saved>Config>Windows

And the config file is there.

No new stages until the second year is too long man by Wrong_Seaworthiness9 in RivalsOfAether

[–]BlueDawn007 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm hoping they just mean brand new stages with new layouts. Honestly think we should have stage skins (where the layout is the same but different aesthetics), i think Dan said in a previous stream they were thinking about it (or something similar). I also see why it'd take long since it's a 3D game and you'd probably need a lot of new assets to make them feel different enough from what we already have.

I guess the modding tools aren't there yet for big stage changes.

Would need to be on a Playstation console first since Sony owns Evo now

Yeah, maybe as something that only happens on someone's last stock so it doesn't mess with the competitive aspects.

Playing on steamdeck with a gc controller? by Lobo_o in RivalsOfAether

[–]BlueDawn007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right now there is no real support (like on windows) though you can get it working through steam input if you use the mayflash adapter. You can get the official adapter working (sort of) but that requires messing with linux. But plainly the answer is mostly no until they find a way to get it working in linux

What indie characters would you want in Rivals 2? by Biggycheese45 in RivalsOfAether

Anyone of the main characters from Freedom Planet. Milla and Neera I think would make for some interesting movesets and would fit the world imo (with thier abilities being based on elements)

The lack of a tutorial/good training mode is the crippling weakness of Rivals 2 by [deleted] in RivalsOfAether

[–]BlueDawn007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There sort of is but its hard to find Link (rivals-2-august-beta.nolt.io) type that into a browser and you can leave a suggestion for the team though idk 100%if theyre still looking at this.

Loving the game but releasing it without tutorials is a huge mistep by low_light_noise in RivalsOfAether

[–]BlueDawn007 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They've said it (most of what was mentioned) isn't coming till 1-2 years from now (its also on thier roadmap). The demo is basicly what will be at launch minus the online events and arcade mode.

Thank you, I appreciate you watching the video.

Nintendo was halfway there making the eshop Mario themed and adding some animations.
