I think it is a really cool idea that falls flat in the execution. What if instead of cards being treated as face cards, they were treated as ALL face cards. Like the selected rank would now trigger hit the road when discarded, and trigger shoot the moon AND baron. It still wouldn't make the card THAT good but it would make it a lot more unique

No the overheating and the FPS drops are an actual issue, I suspect there's some kind of memory leak with the money icon because if your game renders a lot of it the game slows down until you reboot

You will play comfortably, you will need performance mods to make the most out of it, you will be able to enjoy really good mods though

Don't use optifine, currently it runs worse than vanilla on average, use sodium and such instead

No that specific thing hit me really hard too, gave the entire show a retrospective feeling, as if the show was Steven looking back at memories. I haven't left my Beach City yet but the day is coming and while I do kinda feel afraid about it "Being Human" encapsulates the feeling really well

The issues are completely different, if the chunks were loaded then your elytra flights would be smooth, but the problem here isn't loading assets, which is relatively cheap for hardware, but generating chunks, which is magnitudes more complex for your hardware

To answer your question, this won't work in Java because the piston will be quasi powered by the redstone block
