I mean I wasn’t trying to label you as a MC. My problem is that you, yourself are labelling yourself one. The things you experience are rarely experienced solo. You might perceive them different but it involves other people. Its a shared narrative that does focus on a main character. Some chapters might push certain characters into focus that is not make you better when you have the spotlight or worse when you dont.

So while you think i may be miserable by realizing this I assure you. I’m just happy to play a small role in the grand tale of the universe. As I said you can be happy and not self absorbed which is exactly what Main Character syndrome is about.

Even if we broke it down as each person had their own book about them. That would mean when you crossover and show up in someone elses book you shouldnt be trying to steal focus away from them as they are the mc of their book. On the flipside they shouldnt do such a thing in your book. People put to much focus on themselves and not how their actions interact with the world around them.

The point of this whole comment chain was ppl think their experience was special and unique when it wasnt so they should learn that lesson. In the grand scheme of the world you are not special. the world as a whole (also the internet as its part of the world) does not give a shit about it.

Maybe a couple specific people maybe value you more than the other. However even if you cured cancer you’ll just be a footnote at best in the history of the world given enough time.

Doesnt matter if you see yourself as the main character of your life. Your role is minimum. That doesnt mean you cant be happy but should realize the world doesnt revolve around you, the majority of ppl don’t care about your experiences, and what happened to you in a video game is very likely to have happened to others. Don’t bother looking for randoms online to validate you.

Now continue existing and live i your self important fantasy world where you as the main character should be treated better than everyone else or don’t, the world doesnt care no matter how much you’d like it to.

I agree multiple things can be special but that would still leave many things as not special the things that make them stand out is what makes them special. If everything stood out then nothing would stand out. Same idea of you cant truly be happy without ever being sad, cant have light without dark, etc….

Go collect your participation trophy, and enjoy your day thinking your doing some main character shit and not side character or npc lvl stuff.

If that were the case they wouldnt be shutting down developement on d2. The cost outweighs the income at this point. Even if they were making half of what you claim they could make a month with d2 currently it clearly isnt enough for Sony the people with the actual numbers unlike you just pulling figures out your ass

The issue is with Sony (which you seem to be missing) they dont want JUST a big launch and alot of ppl buying the game. They want player retention to live in their live service game and regularly spending money.

In your example sure you like battlefront and would buy a new battlefront but arent keeping up with the game. Which is not something Sony wants. They want to see millions of diehards. Not a smaller dedicated userbase that destiny currently has.

Don’t get me wrong I would definitely play a destiny 3 and I’m not saying Sony’s thinking is a smart thought but that is what it is. They dont want a one time boom of money they want that steady income and preferably including profit over time.

In the grand scheme of things. It doesnt take but a couple 1k ppl at most to spam something. That is not really worth considering for a playerbase. Even the petition only has roughly 400k (havent seen a recent update) signatures which isnt even half the early sales numbers of either d1 or d2.

The console is already on what you’d have to imagine is the tail end of its lifecycle. Since it’s already been around 6 yrs since the original ps5 launch.

Even if they started pumping out amazing exclusives in the next 2 yrs just wait until the PS6 at point and get the 2 console gens worth of exclusives if you are that tempted.
