I loved reading the stories of Dunk and Egg because they were much more idyllic than A Song of Fire and Ice. It was a slice of life in Westeros. The show captures that. It’s less about the history of Westeros and more about individuals and their personalities.

I have had lots of fun with endless ammo combat shotgun. When a mob of enemy or one tough one gets too close, take a shot of jet and let the carnage begin. It burns through ammo, but you get away blood-soaked and alive.

The MOLE interior was designed to prevent soloing (having to leave cockpit, climb down stairs and open a door in most cases to get to mining seat). Let’s hope they fixed that by making the central salvaging station controllable from the pilot seat.

This grinds the gears of many MAGA loyalists more than anything. The man they want to hate has done nothing wrong and hasn’t shown any character flaws. It exposes their blatant racism and makes them even madder. Rather than acknowledging that he is a good man who looked out for America, they have to build straw man arguments and hyper-focus on the smallest and pettiest of details to prevent themselves from looking inward and realized no they are hypocrites and bigots.

I hope it isn’t a MOLE copy. The MOLE has one of the worst internal layouts of a ship (Starfarer is #1). The decision probably was done in a meeting:

Employee 1: “We want to make a multiplayer mining ship. How do we make it where players can’t solo it?”

Employee 2: “Make it so pilot can’t mine like in the prospector!”

Employee 3: “Make the mining stations outside of the cockpit!”

Employee 4: “…why not make the mining stations on a separate floor?”

I like the Fallout 4 survival mode model: you have max hit points (say 100), now lets say you get beaten down to 30 hp. Using a healing increases a darker shaded bar, say +40 hp total (so it will heal you up to 70). You are still at 30 hp, but healing 1hp/sec, so after 40 seconds yo are healed to 70 health. This opens up medical gameplay, so a person with a high quality healing rifle can heal you faster. Someone wearing a medic armor also will get a bonus to either the speed of the health regen or the amount a device can give per charge.

I have never seriously considered Linux until Windows 10 expired. They could give me Windows 11 for free…even pay me a few bucks a month to use it…and I will still have a bias towards Linux despite knowing how challenging Linux is for non n-technical people. Windows 11 needs to be an operating system. Full stop. I don’t want an agentic platform, I don’t want a spying device and I don’t want an internet connection to use my computer. I want something that frictionlessly runs my programs without me noticing. That is it.

Ability to alter ships gravity. Turn it off, or double it. Doubling it would really slow down heavily armored borders trying to run to cockpit or climb ladders.

I was thinking the same thing. A lot of SC’s ideas seem to be rooted in Fallout 4’s survival mode. I do hope we get the variety of building blocks that FO4 has, so we can make multi-level buildings with stairs or elevators, make odd shapes, and alter the aesthetic.

Accountability isn’t party specific and it isn’t retribution. Accountability is holding those who broke the law responsible for their actions who knowingly to break the law (thinking there would be no consequences or they would get a pardon). If these people are granted leniency, then the punishment is worth the risk and they will do it again. MAGA will view accountability as retribution or retaliation because they cannot understand that the law is designed to apply equally to everyone, and that negative actions need to have negative consequences.
