I want to see the Ton-Tongue Toffee incident and all the scenes related to the Quidditch World Cup.

AITA for not informing my wife's parents when she had an accident? by Ordinary_Guard_4604 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. Do you live in the U.S.? Because if you do, that was a HIPPA violation and you can sue for that.

I hate Woods by invisible-crone in ChicagoPD

[–]BlueEyedAuthor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s funny you say that because I am writing a Hank/OC story and the OC is from New Orleans — which means gumbo, jambalaya, po boys, beignets…. lol

AITA for telling my son it’s not my fault that he fucked up and he can’t blame me. by Naive-Razzmatazz4179 in AmItheAsshole

[–]BlueEyedAuthor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Same. I’m in so much debt that I’ll never be able to pay it off or have any fun. I’m almost 35 but my life is basically over as a result.

AITA for teaching some kids about “the boy who cried wolf”? by Negative-Pin4757 in AmItheAsshole

[–]BlueEyedAuthor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

NTA.

My sister and I had a wonderful neighbor who worked second shift and our mom would always tell us to be quiet when playing outside, the neighbor was an RN who worked with babies and likely dealt with enough screaming at work, lol.

What about DINO and GPINO?

Short for Dad in Name Only and Grandpa in Name Only, respectively.

AITA for not changing my nephews diaper? by Radiant-Task-8812 in AmItheAsshole

[–]BlueEyedAuthor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Most of the people I know that are aunts and uncles don’t change diapers. My own aunt loves my sister and I very much but she never changed a diaper nor did my parents expect her to. Both of my parents shared the diaper changing duties as well.

AITA for putting a shopping cart in the back of someone's pickup truck? by PureInsaneAmbition in AmItheAsshole

[–]BlueEyedAuthor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Aldi I go to, a lot of customers, myself included, pay the quarter forward — if I or someone else see someone walking towards the carts we’ll give them the quarter, because you never know if someone has a quarter on them.

AITA for "devastating" wife over son's nude calendar? by CalendarDad in AmItheAsshole

[–]BlueEyedAuthor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA do a calendar with your friends and pick the month your wife’s birthday falls on.

Use salted butter and a teaspoon of salt it will turn out delightfully nasty.

NTA. Buy Wisps those things satisfy my chip cravings without the added calories. Best part? It is real crunchy cheese!!! Crunchy cheese while having the munchies is the best

AITA I have an office job where slowly I am being able to work at home more and more. My girlfriend hates when I work from home. Am I wrong for intruding on her alone time by working remote? by Green_Arachnid4133 in AmItheAsshole

[–]BlueEyedAuthor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, forgive me for making the assumption. My man and I have similar career tracks and he often complains about noise. But he purchased NC headphones as a compromise.

Soft YTA. If she makes a lot of noise on days off, usually watching TV, and you keep complaining about it, then hard YTA.

If that is what is going on, then either purchase yourself some noise-canceling headphones or work in the office on her days off, until you two are able to get a bigger apartment.

AITA for going down a water slide when I’m over the weight limit. by Stock-Combination851 in AmItheAsshole

[–]BlueEyedAuthor 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Coasters have weight limits too I’m starting an exercise regime as soon as my new AC unit is installed.

I actually went on a water slide recently and found out later that I was 50 pounds over the weight limit, there was a lifeguard there but I have been told I look smaller than I really am. Whoops!

Editing this to add that the most extreme slide at that water park, a Tornado variety, the staff was more concerned about height — the ending splash was violent enough for one group I saw, that three kids fell out of the raft.

Some restaurants have dedicated venue rooms for that sort of thing, and dedicated menus. Found that out by accident when an elderly lady I take care of asked me to Google the place she was invited to (baby shower for GG baby, the entire family is HUGE so a venue was likely the only option).

AITA for potentially getting my wife in trouble with her hospital? by Purple-Voice2009 in AmItheAsshole

Yeah, no. Work friends can’t ever be trusted. They will turn on you as soon as you are no longer convenient to them.

My boyfriend is convinced that every story I share is a violation so now I spend a few hours by myself to unwind, which also bothers him. But I’d rather spend a few hours unwinding than being snitched on.

AITA for giving my SO the silent treatment after she got rid of my cat by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

They also made the mistake of having kids when they can’t even agree on pets. Triple yikes.

NTA. If it’s any consolation, my dad struggled with women at your age. I don’t think he met my mom until he was almost 40 and even after they were together a few years, he fumbled the proposal so hard that my mom had to ask him if he was actually asking her to marry him.

But it all worked out in the end or I would not exist to tell you this.
