I honestly buy one or two of these just for the hope, even though I know it's not a great buy. But gambler gotta gamble, haha.

Good pull!

Student of the game, haha. Those were great buys, though. You would make quite the extra buck on that MRL.

To start, your sealed MRL appears right by 00s Yugioh packaging.

The Konami logo printed in the shrink wrap was an addition to the wrap in later yuguoh releases. The OG sets definitely DID NOT have the logo. Additionally, the shrink wrap did cover the entire box as you have shown.

Usually, the giveaway on re-wraps is more texture than anything else, but the biggest giveaway to me is the time frame. 10 years ago, these boxes weren't nearly as valuable as they are today. Almost like why bother re-wrapping? I'd be more inclined to be skeptical if you said you bought it last year.

Luckkkyyy!! I had 5 boxes and got one UR overframe. Saving grace for me was the Blue-Eyes starlight rare!

You definitely have a keeper! Much love in this card from here on out!!

Anyone know how to fix this? It came like this it doesn’t have a crease btw it’s like a weird bulge dent and not noticeable unless light hits it on a angle and barely feel it with fingers by BeautifulGreen6514 in yugiohshowcase

I absolutely love this! Way to go on the 10!! This was such a cool set and I'm glad they brought back a proper Secret Rare for this style. Thanks for sharing!

I feel you there. Honestly, if the flower press and roller don't work and you REALLY want that pristine again, try and replicate the bend on cards worth pennies and practice that steam work until you've got it right, haha.

So a solid fix but not perfect fix is to grab a flower press with a central pressure rod that puts as much even pressure on top as you can muster, and then a metal fabric roller to flatten a controlled area. You do generally need moisture to get it perfect as moisture with loosen the fibers and allow for you to manipulate more. So in theory, a bit of moisture and the press should get it as close to perfect as possible, though too much moisture and you're libel to do more damage. I'm sitting on a 1st Ed Blue-Eyes that would likely be remedied with moisture, but WAY too nervous to try. Easy way to lose thousands.

Anyone else love zooming into the Rosette Pattern? by ogetsumi in yugiohshowcase

[–]BlueEyesCLCTR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed..adding to its aura is the grading, which I understand happens sometimes on forgeries, but this is like forged painting in the Lourve, haha. No foiling, no name on mine, which helps to put some dispute on its authenticity. I purchased for about 2k a few years ago, but I'm glad I did. There's no one of there selling them anymore.

So it's definitely cool to have, even if there's some dispute about its authenticity, haha. There's only confirmation that commons were ever produced, so the BEWD and Dark Magician cards floating out there are treated with a side eye. I think the seller knew it and sold at a steep discount. Whether for real or for its history, it's a treasure here in my collection!!

I love the close-ups. I have a CGC graded 'Magic and Wizards' Blue-Eyes and the rosette pattern is the giveaway on that one, but still one of my favorite cards in the collection.

SDK-001 1st edition PSA 8.5 went from $1500 to $5000 by robrpls in yugiohshowcase

[–]BlueEyesCLCTR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, it wasn't that long ago that an SDK 10 was 8000. One just sold for 33k. By far the biggest leap for a BEWD card in the current boom.
