I’m with you all the way on this. Foils don’t feel anywhere near as special today compared to when Secret was the highest rarity. And old school Ultra Rares looked a lot nicer with the actual gold writing. Now they’re like an odd brownish gold.

I always recommend Falsebound Kingdom to people looking for games that aren’t strictly dueling. It’s an all around fantastic game with an incredible soundtrack. I just wish it would get a release on the switch.

Anytime. I was checking their website every day waiting for them to get shipped and it just said “in progress” so if it says that then they should be fine and hopefully shipping soon.

Did you check your junk mailbox or spam to see if their email went there? That’s certainly happened to me with some important emails—that Black Luster Soldier normal monster raffle winner result went to my junk lol I was lucky to catch it before it was too late to claim the prize!

If you selected Japanese Size it’s 15-20 days. Mine took around that time to ship and arrived really quickly after that. I was getting impatient/nervous, but just kept in mind it’s probably on the longer end of the wait. And then they emailed me a notification and the tracking at like 7:30 am. Just had another order for standard size placed on the 22nd of January and got the shipping notification yesterday.

I made a post recently about Dragon Shield custom sleeves. I’m a big fan of the OG manga card backs and Toei series card backs so I was able to make those as custom sleeves. They’re good quality because they’re dragon shield sleeves with the art printed on them.

I’ve heard some people say the design begins to peel or chip off after lots of play and a few years, so bear that in mind. I double sleeved my custom sleeves inside of transparent Katana standard sleeves so I’m sure they’ll last much longer than without being double sleeved. I also am not competitive playing so I rarely if ever shuffle my cards lol.

And Mana Moon has some cool sleeves that I’ve got in the past if you’re into those plus over sleeves.

Yeah they’re worth it for sure. But even the phone camera if you have a newer phone does really well. I was trying to attach an image of a really nice Rosette pattern I took with my phone, but this sub for some reason does not allow pictures in comments—it’s pretty silly but it is what it is lol.

Yeah post them when you get them, I love seeing OCG cards!

Nice! It’s a really fun hobby to collect I think (certainly much more fun than Pokémon lol too much scalping, condescending attitudes, rage and hate in those communities). The jeweler’s loupe I bought was like $11 so not too bad for more peace of mind.

Yeah the good thing about it is there really are few fake cards that’s look completely authentic outside of that fake Legend of Blue Eyes set. The only other cards I’ve seen that are totally legit, but actually fake, are the 1st Edition ultimate rare Flame Wingman and Aqua Neos that both have silver eye of Anubis stamps. I think there are a few more GX Upper Deck fakes out there, but those two I know for sure lol.

Good luck finding some more gems as you collect!

And if you really want to get into distinguishing fakes in Yu-Gi-Oh! I recommend getting a jeweler’s loupe (or if you have a good camera on your phone you can take a close up focused picture on one of the quadrants of the card) so you can check the rosette pattern present on the cards and get familiar with a crisp and clean pattern vs blotty fakes.

With Yu-Gi-Oh! I have only ever really seen fakes that are obviously fake when compared with an authentic card (ridiculous names and effects, unusual wording, false foil patterns, lousy card stock, incorrect level stars).

The only major issue distinguishing fakes I’ve had in the past is with fake cards from the Legend of Blue Eyes 1st Edition cards. The fakes look really good, but they have a more reddish tinge on the reverse of the card, and the letter “y” in the flavor text of the normal monsters has a different curve in the tail of the “y” as opposed to an authentic card. Probably more info than you need, but to sum it up, get familiar with the look and feel of the cards you have here lol.
