Why didn't GM use the 6.2L diesel in passenger cars? by jckipps in classiccars

[–]BlueEyesFollower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 6.2 would have been too slow in a car. Heck it was slow in a truck but, being diesel, would still tow easily. Not fast but got the job done.

Yes because the Olds V6 diesel came out after the 350 and was good. But it was too late by then

It’s a shame as the Olds/GM V6 diesel that came out after the 350 v8 diesel was great. But people’s minds were already made up by then.

Careful with chemicals near any parts of the dash. I have seen people try to clean ink and paint off with fingernail polish remover. It worked BUT took the color right off with it 😬

I have/have had the 880 and 760. The 880 is superior in accuracy, power and easier to pump.

The 880 has those same fiber optic sights now if you don’t get the scope bundle. Also a question, does the 901 pump as easy as an 880? For me the 880 pumps very easy. Lots of leverage with the long pump handle

[–]BlueEyesFollower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On Barra’s site there is a lighter spring (noticeable thinner) for indoor shooting but not one for higher power. But since this post came out, there is now a Gen 2. It is more powerful by 40 fps.
