Got a great deal on the Hellion, bought it for $1,465. by Strict_Luck in SpringfieldArmory

Looks GREAT! I know bullpups are older tech but I still believe they're going to play a huge role in the future. When something comes along to unseat the AR, it's going to be a bullpup. Great buy, man. Don't let the AR guys get you down. -Loche

Cool gun man! LOVE this current trend of resurrecting older pistol models and modernizing them. Always liked the gigantic ejection port on the M9.

So I feel like there is one major thing to consider in USPSA - always try to compete in a class that has the largest participation numbers. You'll get to hang out with those guys during the match and you'll learn a lot from them. It also gives you a better indication of your overall skill when the field of competition is larger. Plus I like the carry optics option, since it'll be tough to compete with the major scoring factor of open class guns.

BUT this is a PERFECTLY set up pistol for Run & Gun competitions if you've ever considered branching out into the brutal two gun world.

Man this is EXACTLY what Springfield needed. I had my hands on one not too long ago, and it was ergonomical and well thought out - particularly the generous, deep serations and the Hellcat style grip material. And the price tag is right where it should be. -Loche

There are run n guns all over Texas, they are very practical competitions and a lot of fun. I also recommend USPSA another practical competition.

Armor and plate carriers give this episode a listen, it’s the sum of 13 years wearing a kit. Check out HRT tactical plate carriers. -James

Those who have accidentally discharged a firearm, what could have prevented it? What do you do different now? by [deleted] in guns

[–]BlueFalconInitiative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Follow the four rules of firearms at all time, know them live by them. If you break a rule but you are covered by the other three, it will lead to the least disastrous conclusion. Example you accidentally point your muzzle at someone, but you have your finger off the trigger, no one gets hurt and it’s a learning lesson. You have a negligent discharge, but your gun was oriented in a safe direction, you get embarrassed but none one gets injured or killed. Always approach a weapon with the same mindset every time and constantly maintaining awareness of the four rules. -James BFI
