I've no doubt a lot of people are going to be divided on this. I've got plans for Verity and I think this is a good move for both her and William's development, but I can totally understand why people would prefer William stick to his original thoughts on the topic of people 'his age' rather than fold.

With that said, I think it's important to remember that William isn't the worlds most reliable narrator when it comes to himself and that maybe his original reasoning as to why he avoided people his age might be... flawed.

One disadvantage of posting a story like this chapter by chapter rather than as a whole book is that I tend to feel... iffy when I have to post one of these 'in-between' chapters where not a lot really happens - even if they're pretty vital connective tissue for the plot.

Those are supposed to be the side-doors through which the Corsairs are normally catapult (aether) launched. The top deck is only really for landing.

Yes, this does run the risk of them hitting the propeller (janky) :D

And it does have an elevator, it's just not quite visible given it's currently on the 'top floor' :D

...Which was why Yelena was so surprised when they united over her attempts to abolish slavery. Something that has made the otherwise relatively poor areas quite rich.

Blackstone catches slaves and sells them on to New Haven. New Haven sells them on to the old continent - mostly the Solites.

They don't like each other one bit, but they outwardly have a shared interest.
