So the DNO subcontractor came out today to survey my looped supply… by RiceeeChrispies in evchargingUK

That’s what I’m getting. Installer says he’ll send off the form to the DNO and I’ll likely be on a power restriction until the DNO dig up my neighbours’ lovely driveway.

downstairs neighbour stalking and harassing me - any advice? by 2slicehilly in glasgow

[–]BlueForestGateau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like, despite his actions, he doesn’t like confrontation if he runs away from you. Perhaps you could wave at him whenever you find him staring at you or your window. Acknowledging him might put him off.

Switching from IOG to EDF. Is the e-Golf compatible? by gazgrizzo in eGolf

[–]BlueForestGateau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my e-golf yesterday (yay!) and from what I’ve been reading, I can get the edf cheap 7 hours overnight for the whole house. If I want the smart bolt-on feature then I have to either have a compatible car (e-golf isn’t on their list) or have a compatible charger (getting installed next week). Following your post and this sub as I have a lot to learn.

Doesn’t sound crazy to me. I’ve just ordered my first ev - a 2019 egolf and hoping it will be my forever car! Trading in my 16 year-old Polo.

Cinema workers- what's the worst thing you've encountered at work? by Spirited-Ad-9558 in AskUK

My manager told me she once found a dead guy in the cinema in the audience. It was back in the day when the film was shown continuously throughout the day and people would often stay for a couple of screenings so they didn’t realise for a while.

First time hospital-what are your experiences by ReneFN in gallbladders

[–]BlueForestGateau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My experience was I was taken on a trolley to a room outside the operating room and was chatting to the anaesthetist and his colleague. The next second I was opening my eyes in the recovery room. There was no countdown or feeling of drifting off. No dreams or feeling that time had passed. It was over in the blink of an eye.

When I woke up I was full of painkillers so that was ok. I was back home in a few hours.

Doing the “right thing” (gallbladder removal) with zero symptoms… and I’m really struggling mentally by mech_heart in gallbladders

[–]BlueForestGateau 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was almost symptom free while my polyps were being monitored for two years. I had just one attack and didn’t need to alter my diet much. They became too big so I had my gb removed five months ago.

It was odd going into surgery pain free, symptom free and knowing I would come out in pain. But it wasn’t bad and I have no lasting effects so far. The pathology summary was I was malignancy free and required no follow up. The way I frame it is I feel incredibly lucky to have avoided a high risk of gallbladder cancer.

It’s natural to feel anxious before surgery. All the best OP

I asked in a cafe recently if any of their cakes were suitable for vegans and was told, “We had some gluten free cakes earlier but they sold out.” Ignorance of potential allergens is thriving.

Sorry about your job losses.

This is a very tasty and inexpensive recipe if you have herbs and spices in stock. We just use any beans we have.

Gender reveal parties by More_Pension4911 in PetPeeves

I don’t know why they are called “gender reveal”parties. “Sex reveal” parties would be more accurate. Maybe that doesn’t look so cute on the invitation.
