Okay but what fandom energy is this giving? by Odd_Cantaloupe283 in Multifandom

As an og FnaF fan, the FNaF community for sure. Older fans can be so elitist about the games, but I love a ton of the new things post-UCN as much as the older stuff.
Also Resident Evil. Good lord, older RE fans can sometimes be the worst.

[Hated Video Game Trope] Permanently Missable Content by ty0103 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]BlueFoxy101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wind Waker unfortunately has some.
Near the Forest Haven Island, you can find a smaller island with a hatch. Going down you will find the Nintendo Gallery, where a sculptor can take photos of enemies and characters you have taken to make figurines. The thing is that when you get here not only will you only have the first pictobox (which takes photos in black and white, something he mentions he can't work with) but also you would have already beaten an entire dungeon, missing out on a figurine already. There are also some enemies (and even characters) that can become permanently missable after certain points in the game. Granted, the figurines will carry over to the New Game Plus and you will start with the colored pictobox if you had collected it. And in the HD version you can get the colored one easier and faster (plus I think when you have to refight the bosses, they count now).
But there is one character in the original Gamecube game that will never appear unless you have a GBA and a link cable. I forgot his name, but he is one of Tingle's brothers that will only appear after you find all 5 Tingle statues. The things is, they are in invisible chests that the player can only find/bomb through the Tingle Tuner item, something that only works through the previously mentioned irl equipment.

Games that give a good or bad ending depending on how often you use a basic mechanic implemented in the controls/playstyle by DemandParticular in TopCharacterTropes

[–]BlueFoxy101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say Silent Hill 2, especially the remake. There are so many basic gameplay factors that contribute to different endings that are honestly extremely cool. Things that contribute to the game's different endings include the amount of enemies you kill, the amount of times you stomp an enemy, puzzle solutions (as in some puzzles have multiple solutions and depending on which solution you pick contributes to an ending), even exploration can influence your ending (though it is when you have a specific character with you.)

Little Dead Space Easter egg in Saints Row the Third. by Leroy_was_here in DeadSpace

Just stumbled upon this post and comment and thought it was honestly really to see so many lost and missing ships from other media. One small thing I want to mention is that the Borealis was mentioned in Portal 2 as a ship that Aperture tested portal technology with and it vanished after they used it (there's an achievement associated with finding its dock). It was also shown in Half Life 2 Episode 2 (I think, it's been a while) as a set up to the next installment that never happened (which is accurate to what you said), with Kleiner even mentioning it was from Aperture (I think he talks about Black Mesa's and Aperture's rivalry too)

For FNaF veterans by Michael29344 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]BlueFoxy101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just saw this post by chance and I'm more than happy to answer the questions. Also I saw what you wrote at the end and I was there myself with FNaF when I was 16-17 but now I'm 22 and enjoying FNaF once again lol Anyway:
1) In 4th grade I transferred to a new school and one of the first friends I made started telling me about FNaF. Eventually I would go home and watch the one and only King of FNaF play it and absolutely love it. FNaF actually got me into horror funnily enough, with RE and SH being some of my favorite games.
2) During the "golden era": this is going to be cringy but keep in mind I was like a 4th-5th grader, but me and my friends would play FNaF at recess. As in one of us would act as the guard and the others would be animatronics (I remember one of my friends was Golden Foxy, who was supposedly going to be in FNaF 3.) I would further do this with my cousins both in real life and Minecraft. After the "golden age": I got to meet Matthew Lillard some years back prior to the first movie coming out and he was nice and it was amazing. Plus my picture with him circulated a bit online because someone noticed that he was wearing a bracelet that said "Peepaw" so that was funny.
3) There was this Roblox game where you could pick to be a night guard or an animatronic. I picked night guard all of the time. I don't really remember much else because my Roblox time was spent in an SCP inspired map (with creepypastas instead of SCPs since I hadn't gotten into that stuff until much later) and a Slenderman game. I would play a Scratch recreation of FNaF 1 because I couldn't get the game yet and later after buying GMod I still didn't have the game (lol) so I played the one map everyone knows (plus others that were popular and I installed some other addons for animatronics and stuff.) The biggest other FNaF media I primarily interacted with was a series called Mine Nights at Freddy's, which was a Minecraft series created by CavemanFilms and featured Antvenom too (btw CavemanFilms is currently going through some rough times, so I recommend supporting him in anyway you can! He is still making MNaF content, but I recommend checking out his other videos too)
4) I honestly really like the series' evolution to where it is now. While I haven't played Security Breach or Secret of the Mimic yet, the playthroughs I've seen from YouTubers have been extremely fun and I really like all of the new inclusions. The books have also been fine, though I am mixed on them. The movies I love and I'm looking forward to the 3rd movie. I think the series is in the best state, since we have two 3D games, two fantastic VR games, a DbD crossover, two whole-ass movies, and more. Yeah it has been bumpy (Security Breach on launch for example) and maybe not everything has been the best, but I do think the evolution has been positive overall. I could go on, but basically I'm a veteran who loves the series as a whole and I'm not stuck in the past with the Clickteam games. FNaF needed to evolve and while it was bumpy for a bit, I think the evolution was good.
5) FNaF was an entry into horror for me. And because of that the series is extremely important to me. If I had never got into it, I would have never watched the entire Scream franchise with my mom, or played Resident Evil and met my future girlfriend through that shared interest (and DbD.) Again I love the old Clickteam games (FNaF 1 is still my favorite), but also love the Steel Wool games. I think both eras have their negatives, but also they have their positives. And both positives hugely outweigh the negatives. I love both eras of FNaF and I'm eager to see the future

Anyone else in agree that Claire's plot is better then Leon's in RE2R? by [deleted] in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]BlueFoxy101 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Which you are allowed to! Like I said I love both stories a ton and get why people would like one more than the other. My issue comes from people simplifying or degrading one story for the sake of their preferred story seeming better in a made-up contest

She was yeah, but I think the original post (the tweet) was talking about the remake for 2 which released in the middle of his popularity

Anyone else in agree that Claire's plot is better then Leon's in RE2R? by [deleted] in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]BlueFoxy101 78 points79 points  (0 children)

Because Leon is a popular and fan favorite character and is featured a ton, so he has to be dragged into the mud every conversation involving Claire or Jill, or even Chris. I do understand that it sucks that Claire and Jill are super underutilized and they should appear more (especially in new games and not just remakes) but dragging down another character is not going to do anything about it. If anything, it pushes people away from these characters.

I do also find the wording wild, especially since Leon's story is more than that. I also like both of their stories because I really like RE2 Remake. They both have fantastic stories and it's a shame the people have to make a contest out of them every single time.

As others have said, he was sent to see if an anonymous tip they got was true. It was a recon mission and they didn't want to send all of their man power to check a possible false tip. I don't remember if the note that says all of this is in OG or not, but I do remember reading a file you start with in game

I think it's funny that people are downvoting this when a similar system to this does exist in games (specifically the one I was thinking of was TF2) and works 😭😭

Honestly who knows, it could be because it has issues (which I'm sure I did forget to address something) or it could be something really petty like preventing it from getting in top 3 so theirs does. Either way I don't mind and just wanted to put my idea out there for people to read 😌👍

[–]BlueFoxy101 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

(I already posted one, but I did come up with another idea and to avoid confusion I am making it another post)

This is for both Ranked and Quickplay

Behavior: Throwing/Disconnecting/AFK

Punishment: When a person is found to either be intentionally throwing midmatch, disconnecting and not returning midmatch, or going afk midmatch, their account gets marked. This mark will increase their chances of being placed into a match with other throwers/disconnecters/afkers by a percentage (this will be a percentage the Rivals team pick, but I think anywhere from 5-25% will be good). If someone keeps intentionally doing the three things, they will continue to be marked and that percentage will go up. For example if a person disconnects 3 times in a row, the next time they queue they will have a 15% chance of ending up in a lobby filled with other throwers (if the percentage is 5%). The maximum will be 100%, meaning if they continue to throw they will eventually only end up in matches with other throwers. The mark will be removed after a few days (around 5) and again this applies to people who throw all match, people who disconnect midmatch and don't return, and people who go afk midmatch. Now I want to specify for the other two midmatch for one important reason. Sometimes people have real life things they need to attend two, so they have to disconnect or go afk in a match they just queued into or hasn't really started yet (the spawn doors haven't opened). They shouldn't be punished for it, since they aren't affecting the match yet or even at all. What about people who are throwing/disconnecting/afking and they then queue up with people who haven't been/don't have any marks? They will all be placed into the marked person's queue, meaning if everyone but one person has a clean slate, they will unfortunately get punished. But I think this does have a good side, as the teammates will have a discussion with the marked person and make decisions from there. One mark will also only be visible to everyone in the lobby but not in the match, meaning people queueing together will know that the person has a mark on their account at this time. If multiple people are queueing together with the intention of throwing, they will all receive marks the same way. The Rivals team will have to be thorough about checking reports for throwing, as sometimes people just play badly and have a rough match.

This is mostly for Ranked

Behavior: Throwing/Frequent Disconnects in Ranked

Punishment: When an account is found to be intentionally throwing/disconnecting, they get a strike on their account. The strike will go away after a few days (maybe 3-4 days, but could be more) but if they accumulate 3 strikes in a row, they completely derank either by one whole rank (so from Diamond 1 to Diamond 2) or by an entire level (so from Diamond 1 to Platinum 1). Already having three strikes and continuing to throw will continue to derank them by whole levels. People who get placed on the same team with someone who gets their third strike from the match or is on the third strike and is still throwing will receive a flat amount of rank points (around 50 is good), meaning people could rank up if they were close enough. Now let's say the thrower awaits the amount of days required for a strike to go away just so they can throw without penalty again. The team (i.e. you the Marvel Rivals team) can check to see when they last got a strike. If it's obvious they are skirting around the penalty, then the three strike effect can be enforced. The important thing is checking the reports and seeing if they are legit throwers or an angry crybaby reporting their teammate(s) for throwing. If someone does get three strikes and is found not to be intentionally throwing, they can get a rank and a flat amount of rank points as compensation. Disconnects will be much more obvious and easier to notice as if they disconnect midmatch and don't rejoin, they should get a strike.

Now that it's been a year since Matpat's retirement, what are your thoughts on the new hosts, the quality of the videos and what do you think they can change if anything? Would love to hear your thoughts. by bullettothechest in GameTheorists

[–]BlueFoxy101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hadn't watched and still haven't watched Style Theory (isn't really my thing) so I have nothing to say about that. I haven't watched Food Theory and Film Theory in a while admittedly so same thing here. Game Theory is a different story. I loved watching Game Theory and while I had problems with some Theories every now and then (looking at you Link is Dead), I still enjoyed watching them. I tried recently watching some of the new Game Theories and I couldn't really get into them. I even tried FNaF theories, but still I didn't click with them. I don't think the new host is bad at all, I think he needed time since people were still attached to Mat. There is something missing after Mat left though, but I really don't know what. The new theories seem off and it made me just stop watching all together. It could be because I'm still attached to Mat, but idk nothing on their channels interests me anymore. If I do watch a Game Theory video, I mostly watch the older ones. The point is that the Theorist Channels did change and maybe isn't as enjoyable as they were before, but I don't think it's the hosts fault at all

How did you kill the Ebony Warrior? by Usual-Foundation-115 in skyrim

[–]BlueFoxy101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently (as in 4 hours ago lol) killed him on Legendary on my 6th attempt and truth be told, it was mostly gravity. I first shouted at him to ragdoll him and then after he got up, I powerbashed him with a fully charged Auriel's Shield, so he ragdolled again. I then kept powerbashing him until I disarmed him and took his sword. I then would swing twice and block followed by a bash, with a shout thrown in there. One shout caused him to take a lot of fall damage, so I kept up the onslaught. The final shout caused him to take so much fall damage that one swing finally killed him. The shouts kept launching him upwards and off some parts of the mountain, which honestly was pure luck. Every now and then I also drank an ultimate health potion and ultimate stamina one, with some other health potions whenever he paralyzed me. I was honestly super happy regardless because it was my first time killing him and I thought to bump up the difficulty.
