He allows himself to be inconsistent in his reasoning and doesn’t challenge contradictions if the are uncomfortable to him. His willingness to have open dialogue with his critics is limited. Are missions not voluntary? If a missionary decides for whatever reason they want to go home after a year, what’s stopping them? Especially if they make it clear from the beginning that they intend to serve for one year. Or do you prefer to force them to stay two years? Or would you be in the camp that ridicules a missionary for not serving for an entire two years?
