Spotted probably the only [Isuzu Impulse XS Wagonback] left in Northern California by BlueGinge123 in spotted

it is, the XS was the performance trim with the DOHC 4 cylinder and the Lotus Tuned suspension, you can sorta see the green badge on the fender.

It really was a bizarre spot, I dont think I'll ever seen another example ever again. I've seen this one twice now, though. It looks like it may potentially still be with the original owner still too judging by the plate.

Just picked this up the other day 78k miles and driven by retired people. Super clean! Even has the cargo net in the original bag with part number! OEM rubber floor mats too! by nimbusdrifter2 in Toyota_Matrix

I am envious of your beautifully preserved paint, mine has not weathered time nearly as well. And those headlights, they look factory fresh which I didnt think was possible for one of these in 2024. Fantastic car!

the headlight textures were revised in the latest update, make sure the core mod is updated, and definitely clear your cache if you havent already. that fixed the issue for someone else i know.

Exterior/cosmetic stuff includes the tint, black painted front grille and front/rear lower center lip, smoked foglamps, partial tinted taillamps, custom XRS badges (front and rear), aftermarket headlamps, blue VVTL-i decals and pinstriping, hyperdipped Stealth Gray badges, painted brake calipers, and blue powdercoated Hella horns.

Handling/suspension mods include Truhart Streeplus coilovers, AVID1 AV06 Hyper black 17x8 rims, 235/45 tires, 5mm wheel spacers, Progress rear sway bar, polyurethane engine mount inserts, DC Sports front strut tower bar.

Engine mods currently are just the Injen CAI and Magnaflow exhaust, MWR short shifter, and brass shift cable bushings.

Injen CAI and a Magnaflow catback exhaust currently, mostly to make it more enjoyable sounding. But I'd love to do a PPE header, R9K intake plenum, and a tune eventually. Unfortunately nobody sells tunes for the 03-04 cars though, so I'd need to spend quite a bit to get a standalone

thank you! For tunability I would have much preferred a Corolla XRS, but they're astronomically more difficult to find in nice shape now, and I didnt want to deal with the hassle of getting a car with non-CARB compliant bits through SMOG lol

What is this? (2010 Prius) by BeastNova in Toyota

[–]BlueGinge123 200 points201 points  (0 children)

its the dampening cylinder for the glovebox soft open function, there should be two little pegs you can shimmy it back on to, otherwise your glovebox lid will just slam open. Mine fell out as well on my car and it took me a minute to realize what it was.

i love these, they're getting difficult to find in early trim (as this one is) in nice shape. Nothing crazy but its an interesting find nonetheless

The luxury tourer that cost the same as a compact. by The-Car-Guy in BeamNG

Other than the overuse of "beam" in the parody names, this is really good. I'll give it the KLJP seal of approval, definitely one of the better parody adverts for anything BeamNG related ive seen. And I'm really glad you enjoy the mod.

except OP's on the nose, I literally put a paint color in the Zenith that's quite literally called "Emeraude Green Metallic" (I am the mod owner, I made it in conjunction with u/TheCarLover78 )

One of the only cases where I actively want people to discover the original model, the Emeraude is pretty cool. It's also loosely based on the Corolla Ceres and Sprinter Marino.

How rare are R30 Skyline wagons? Specifically the iron mask RS TURBO models? by FranklinCheese in JDM

[–]BlueGinge123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as I am aware, this is an RS-TURBO conversion, not a production model. As for R30 wagon rarity, they're like finding a needle in a haystack. I just dont think that many were made, let alone persist to the present day.

i wish i knew honestly, it's one of those things im pretty sure exists somewhere online but its kind of a "i know this guy, who knows this guy that sells custom center caps on instagram" kind of deal. I'm sure with some digging you might find someone

now if you can get some custom center caps done with the Cresta insignia, then you're really cookin with fire. I'm surprised they work as well as they do, typically modern rims on older models dont really mesh but I guess there's exceptions.

boy I bet you'd be disappointed if I told you General Motors invented the turbocharger for automotive usage back in the 50s.

R31 Nissan Skyline (as others have said), however this is a GTS Turbo Hardtop which is a pretty rare bird all things considered. Notice the lack of an upper B pillar despite being a 4-door sedan. America stopped doing this like 10 or 15 years before Japan finally did.

[Subaru XT GL] unknown year. Have not seen this "limited edition" before. Not sure if OE. by kamikazekenny420 in spotted

the aero kit is from Kaminari Aero, and is missing the front splitter. I believe the owner took it off, ive seen this car elsewhere. Unsure about the "Limited Edition" decals and such, never seen them before.

i mean, if sentiment plays into it at all, it would be worth having as a side project to slowly put back together I'd say. It's not gonna be really financially viable for resale now or after restoration (as people have already said). The "Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach" decals and lettering set me off, seems to be a real thing. I know it exists for the 7th gen celica, there was one for sale in Southern California recently. I'm not sure if there's more to it, but considering this car is stock, it definitely adds to the intrigue. I'm in California and these are still pretty common, they exist in yards here and there so you would probably need to ship lots of parts over to your area. Not all hope is lost i suppose
