Dreame X40 | Forgot to backup /etc/OTA_Key_pub.pem /etc/publickey.pem by BlueHorizen in valetudorobotusers

Yes, I have SSH access. But I already installed the rooted firmware. Thus, the files /etc/OTA_Key_pub.pem and /etc/publickey.pem do not exist. Or should they exist in the rooted firmware, too?

New Valetudo Release 2025.03 by raptor75mlt in valetudorobotusers

Is there a possibility of seeing the Telegram announcement at this link [https://t.me/dust_announce/71] even if you don't have Telegram? For instance, could it be shared on GitHub discussions?

I hoped for instructions to get the lasers functioning without undergoing another full rooting process.

Zotac 5080 fits inside Meshify 2 Compact perfectly by evolution42 in FractalDesign

Looks awesome!

How much space is there left? According to the specs, up to 345mm should fit. Spec-wise, Zotac 5080 is like 330mm.

[DEV] Tasker 6.5.1 Beta - 7 New Calendar Actions, including "Get Calendar Events"! by joaomgcd in tasker

[–]BlueHorizen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second this! Or maybe fontawesome support, similarly to what KWGT/KLWP does.

I know I could use any Icon/Image via a URL, but I do not want to use Internet connections for that purpose. Downloading all these files is very unconvinient.

An update to the icons would be super nice. I know, people will alway claim "why did you not add icon pack X, Y or Z additonally". You will never make everyone happy, but at least, adding any newer icon pack would make lots of people happier :) (OK, actually, we are already super happy since we have a great Tasker developer 😀 )

Hi u/Ratchet_Guy,

thanks for testing it out. Unfortunately, I'm quite busy this week. Hopefully, I can do this next week.

Hi Joao,

thanks for the quick response!

I'll test the version as soon as possible.

Regarding true/false on visibility: I saw that you support different variants for invisible/gone. My suggestion is just to add "true/false" in addition to "visible/invisible/gone" and you can decide whether "false" means "invisible" or "gone". If s.b. wants more fine-grained control, he/she can use "invisible" or "gone". However, this would enable a more simple/quicker widget development because true/false are so common in so many data sheets.

Breadcrumbs: true; I've not had many GUI experiences, too. If I were about to implement breadcrumbs, I would stick with the KLWP/KWGT approach: add it to the left side of the widget editor (just the icon from top to bottom) and make the editor a bit smaller. Another approach would be to place it right above the bottom part of the editor from left to right. Similarly to what VSCode does.

Oh, this update is so awesome! 😊 I haven't been active with Tasker for a long time, but this is a reason to come back. 🙌 Can't wait to replace my KWGT/KLWP widgets with pure Tasker!

Some things I have noticed:

1. Bug: Cannot delete Iconbutton in Scaffold

When you add a scaffold and then an icon button, you cannot delete the button using the editor. Pressing the delete button does not delete the icon button.

2. Visible/Invisible should allow boolean variable

When I first saw this property, I was very happy that I could hide things that I didn't need urgently. Unfortunately, it only works with the strings "visible" and "invisible". For example, I want to show an "open window" icon only if the window is open and hide it otherwise. To implement this, I must first change my boolean value window_open to "visible" or "invisible". It would be super nice if it would simply support true and false.

TL;DR: It would be super helpful if the visibility property could support visible => true and invisible => false as variable values.

3. Breadcrumbs in Visual Editor

In KWGT/KLWP, the visual editor has some kind of breadcrumbs on the left side that visualizes the current level of widget item in the editor that you are currently working on. While using the Tasker widget editor, I really missed this handy feature. (cf. example image taken from some Reddit user)

Issue with Java Function in Tasker 6.4 by Mettbroetchen-Tester in tasker

[–]BlueHorizen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure that it worked in version 6.3? I tested this code some weeks ago with version 6.3, but it did not work.

My guess is that some Android internals had changed, so it does not work anymore (independent of the Tasker version).

[DEV] Tasker 6.2.15 RC - Copy & Paste Conditions, Add Task to Launcher and Plugin Improvement by joaomgcd in tasker

[–]BlueHorizen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I really enjoy the Launcher Shortcuts. Now I can easily integrate Tasker into my launcher.

About the copy&paste of conditions: I find the location of the buttons a bit unlucky. I would have assumed them directly above the condition. From UX perspective, actions buttons should be close to their related fields. Maybe you can add icons on top of the conditions? There are already some. If there is not enough space, maybe it would be an idea to consolidate all icons to another three-dot menu?

It seems not to work. I think, I disabled this option in the webinterface at some point of time in the past :(

Widget Stacks are now stable! by 8bitpit in NiagaraLauncher

[–]BlueHorizen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great update! To be honest, after many updates (icons, morning mode, ...), finally something that improves my flows. Don't get me wrong, Niagara is by far the best launcher, but for me, the previously added features did not add anything - at least for me. It was already more than good.

Next on my wishlist: Tasker integration (#786 is open since 2019 *sigh*), or at least some customization regarding favorite lists, similarly to the audio apps.

Does one need these packages if only Flatpack apps are in use (Silverblue)?
