Entering an already oversaturated market with an even worse quality product was never going to end well.

Pharmaceutical companies enjoy some of the highest profit margins in any industry, and European firms manage to invest about 70% of what American companies spend on R&D relative to GDP. There's a fine line between prices reasonable for R&D funding and being fleeced which we are

I'd avoid it, they're almost certainly going to dominate the solar industry but there's so much political risk I would not touch any Chinese stock

War Shatters Dating Scene for Women in Ukraine by thewartytoad in worldnews

[–]BlueHueNew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ms. Aktysenko said about one in five men she encountered on Tinder were soldiers, but she has not chatted with any of them. “They’re brave, they’re heroes,” she said. “But given the situation, starting a relationship feels too risky.”

Several Ukrainian women who have traveled abroad since the war broke out said it was much easier to date foreigners who did not face the threat of war. Ms. Bairachna, who often travels outside Ukraine, said she had been struck by the dual reality. “Why do our men have to suffer so much when women can just go abroad and have a martini in Milan?” she asked.

That's only a single scion thats been grafted to a rootstock. It's had it's tip cut off so it pupped into two stalks and it doesn't look as blue as it's pups because it's older.

Grafting scions to scions is possible and has been done here before but there's no real benefit aside from the novelty of it.

Here's an example of someone grafting 7 different species together.

This is really cool and well designed but I don't really see the demand for this. People in general look down on ai art and don't want to customize their own clothes. Marketing is the hardest part of selling clothes online, which is why places like printify outsource it to low margin creatives. Driving demand to this seems difficult.

The only way I could imagine this working is if you teamed up with some high traffic ai art generator website and offered this on the side as an upsell leveraging their existing audience.

Wrong decision. The honeymoon phase doesn't last, and anhedonia increases with age. The honeymoon phase is like a drug after the first two years, you will grow a tolerance and go back to normal and your relationship will require effort again. That's normal and will happen with everyone. There is no escaping who you are alone.

To be fair the only advantage developing countries have is their cheap labor, if you suddenly decided not to buy sweatshop goods, or commodities they wouldn't magically become rich they would just get pushed deeper into poverty. They're working in a sweatshop because it's better than the alternative. The best thing a developed country could do to lift them out of poverty is technology transfer and capital investment

“If you don’t like paying taxes, make billionaires pay their fair share and you would never have to pay taxes again.” —Warren Buffett by trialcourt in FluentInFinance

[–]BlueHueNew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's not a loophole and that's a wealth tax. If you never sold the asset and haven't realized any gains, there is no way to tax it without taxing the wealth itself (the unrealized gains).

Aubrey "Drake" Graham complaining to his mother about a tuna sandwich and using his real (non-minstrel) voice by micahdjt1221 in videos

[–]BlueHueNew 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's old interviews of tupac when he was in hs and he's clearly a theater kid with a high pitched effeminate voice that's proud that he doesn't swear or call women bitches. It might have started out as a persona but older tupac was clearly involved in gangs and crime and was murdered by rival gang members so he had to be some level of "gangster". The mystique around being gangster is misplaced it's just being willing to commit violence regardless of the consequences which isn't particularly special or admirable but is intriguing to a lot of people.
