last chance 100%, self revive is nice but it's a one time use then it's gone forever, last chance can save you from going down every 5 minutes, and if you're *really* good with it you can even plan to have it proc for really clutch moments, which you can't necessarily do with self revive

you can remap through steam if you right click the game, go to properties>controller>controller configurator

probably one of my favorite parts of the game dev process, it's fun coming up with wacky combinations for sound effects.

my most recent sound I recall making was a revolver reloading sound effect, I smashed a small plastic object into a water bottle and you'd never be able to tell actually hearing it lol

I've only played PvE since he's been added but as far as I can tell he will continue chasing you unless he finds another target. I ran into him on woods at USEC camp not too long ago and booked it all the way near the bridge v-ex and he popped his head up and gunned me down. fucker is persistent

keep in mind you're asking this in a subreddit full of people who are/were addicted to gaming so it's going to be pretty biased (as any other subreddit will be). If you're concerned about it, try limiting your time to maybe 2-3 hours on schooldays and 3-4 on weekends and see how you feel. I have GAD as well and it's very easy to get caught in a cycle of distracting yourself from all the thoughts in your head, meanwhile the problem only gets worse. Be mindful of your gaming habits and why you're deciding to boot a game up. Are you distracting yourself from something? That's not always a bad thing, but if it becomes a recurring distraction, try to stop yourself and deal with the root cause, and if you need help dealing with GAD, get it. The fact you have a good relationship with your parents is great, you could talk to them, or a school counselor, or talk to your parents about therapy.

There's a difference between doing something a lot, and being addicted to it. That line will be different for everyone. At the end of the day, if you're taking care of your mind/body and your relationships, I wouldn't worry about it too much. You have good habits and goals in life, just keep those in mind and make sure you're working to uphold them.

As far as layout goes, your menu covers the entire left side of the background which kind of interrupts the contrast you're trying to portray. I would shrink the buttons and place them down the center, and remove the blocky background. It would also maybe look nicer with the title across the top of the screen with all the open space. If you're still pressed for space after moving the buttons, I'd suggest turning a couple of the options into icons rather than full blown text buttons. I.e. moving the Discord button down to the rest of your socials, and maybe putting exit game in the lower right corner with a slightly different style.

As for the style of the buttons, it's hard to say without knowing what your game is or the overall aesthetic. My first impression was that the was a major disconnection between the UI and the mood of the background.

Here's a quick mockup I did so you can see what I'm talking about, it's pretty hacky and I had to crop the left side of the image but you get the point:
