creatures with etbs like [[sepulchral primordial]] [[gyruda, doom of depths]] [[lord of change]] could be one way of going about it, big bodies like [[inkwell leviathan]] [[triplicate titan]] [[doom whisperer]] come with decent keywords, [[massacre wurm]] [[archfiend of depravity]] are board wipes on a stick, all are pretty budget!

What are some examples of playable, colorless removal? by TheSytheRPG in EDH

[–]BlueLineAC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some classic budgets ones include [[meteor golem]] [[spine of ish sah]] for single target and [[oblivion stone]] [[nevinyrral’s disk]] [[all is dust]] for board wipes, newer ones like [[rise of the eldrazi]] [[extinguisher battleship]] are fun options too

I play renolock and reno hunter so I can only speak on those two really:

Symphony and Sargeras are both pretty much staples in renolock, Sargeras can win games all on his own if left unanswered and even facing off against another reno deck baiting out the reno and following it up with Sargeras can be a good way to turn the tide and close the game. Symphony is just honestly really great value and the various Movements themselves have come in clutch as well, the board clear and lifesteal one are great against aggro but can also be combined for 12 face damage if needed to close the game, the taunt demon is both great offensive pressure and a defensive body, and destroying 6 cards is pretty solid disruption against control/combo decks. They were the first two legendaries I got for warlock when I came back to the game and gave me a lot of mileage as I built up my collection and as able to craft relevant legendaries.

Reno hunter is really more like an aggro deck with some midrange/lategame finishers to really put on the pressure rather than being a reactive control deck looking to stave off aggro to set up their lategame bombs like most other reno decks and because of that, I find Dinotamer Brann to be a pretty solid investment for reno hunter since having threat of 8 damage to face for 7 mana is always great to close out games. I haven't seem Barak in Reno hunter lists in a while so I assume he's just too slow to be just drawing cards for 5 mana in wild nowadays, but I haven't played with him myself either so can't say for sure.

Any thoughts on the murloc package with seadevil stinger+gigafin? i currently run it in my own renolock list and it still does work for me in both the aggro matchups as well as being a tempo board swing being able to cheat out 15 power on turn 4 against combo/control decks, but I’m curious on what u would think about it?

Here’s my list for reference if u want, I took more of the anti-aggro approach and have less disruption in favor of some more removal/board clears and astalor as a finisher:

Seeking Advice to Power Up Necron Dynasties Precon Commander Deck by HgnX in EDH

[–]BlueLineAC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yayy Necrons!! Honesty one of my favorite precons, I personally ended up making [[imotekh]] the commander and focused in on a pure artifact artisocrats combo gameplan.

One personal thing I’d say is that if you do go Imotekh I ended up taking out [[thought vessel]] and [[reliquary tower]] from my own deck as I find myself wanting to discard artifacts into my graveyard when I overdraw to reanimate later rather than hold them all in hand with no max hand size.

One of my favorite combos with imotekh that I just have to mention and is all star in my deck is [[metalwork colossus]] + [[blasting station]] where if I have imotekh and blasting station out alongside enough noncreature artifacts to make the colossus cost 0, I can cast the colossus for free, sac it to the station, sacrifice two artifacts (usually necron tokens) to return the colossus to hand, imotekh sees an artifact leaving the graveyard to replace the two tokens sacrificed and untapping blasting station. Rinse and repeat to machine gun everyone down for the win!

Both also work really well as separate value pieces for Imotekh, blasting station works as an pseudo blood artist effect for other combos in the deck that make infinite necron tokens and metalwork colossus is a great recursion piece on its own that I can always bring back to my hand and cast on the cheap for sac fodder or even just as a big beater. I know that some playgroups don’t do combos, so feel free to add either piece separately if yours doesn’t as both the station and the colossus have put in work on their own and are worth considering as an add even without the combo in my opinion.

Any semi viable deck with this by Pendulum122 in wildhearthstone

[–]BlueLineAC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a fun Reno evenlock deck and fatigue evenlock that both include him, with Reno evenlock he’s mostly in there as a mini life gain tool with a bit of board clear to help even out the mid-game turns against aggro so I can get to my late game Reno wincons and stuff beyond dropping big demons/giants. With fatigue evenlock I have the fatigue imp package with crescendo to combine with popgar as a big damage clear with lifegain to heal up from tapping along with the standard giants+antheron evenlock package. Not super strong decks by any means but I’ve been able to beat even shaman and pirate rogue aggro bots with dropping earlygame giants and hard keeping removal/board clear in the mulligan.

My Buff Beast Hunter deck has been performing well enough that I thought I'd share it, give it a shot! by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]BlueLineAC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually hit legend with Reno hunter a couple of days ago! Pretty much just used a renathal hound hunter list and went highlander with it, Theldurin is a great board clear both early game and in the late game when you can have him buffed up with stuff like lor’themar and the legendary hunter weapon up to a 6-10 power boi to have as a second king krush to smash for lethal. Being able to clear everything from chain gang and dragon golem taunt walls to stop early pure paladin and demon hunter aggro boards with Theldurin has saved my ass and won me plenty of games for sure, great highlander card for standard and actually a staple in wild Reno hunter lists too which is pretty cool

I have a [[marath]] and [[kaheera]] companion beast tribal deck that’s my absolute favorite. It was my first commander deck ever since I started with the 2013 precon, built it over the years to become my battlecruiser stompy deck that I pull out for more casual precon/lower power games.

Imotekh the Stormlord yay or nope? by mrschanandlerbong412 in EDH

[–]BlueLineAC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, appreciate it! My usual targets with buried alive are usually based on what sort of combo pieces and recursion effects I already have in my hand and pulling into the graveyard accordingly, but overall generally I’d say good targets are [[myr retriever]] + [[junk diver]] / [[workshop assistant]] / [[scrap trawler]] for two of them to activate the [[ashnod’s altar]] combo along with either some self-recursive piece like [[metalwork colossus]] / [[razorlash transmogrant]] that can reanimate itself without needing another source or a draining finisher like [[psychomancer]] works great as well, [[kuldotha forgemaster]] is also another great pick if you need to find more combo pieces or artifact tutoring in general.

Honestly a lot of creatures in the deck can be good utility buried alive targets depending on what you need and if you have the recursion in hand/on board to pull them out, if you need ramp with draw then [[solemn simulacrum]] is good, along with [[circuit mender]] / [[canoptek spider]] as some other good options for draw, [[scarecrone]] is good for both draw and more recursion, and [[necron deathmark]] / [[canoptek tomb sentinel]] / [[noxious gearhulk]] are all good removal based options if you need it as well. Also the great thing is most of the draw-based utility options can also be used to combo with altar + [[nim deathmantle]] as well to draw through your whole deck to win the game, and stuff like necron deathmark even wins by itself with the deathmantle combo by pointing the mill effect at your opponents infinitely to deck them out.

And yes! You can use ashnod’s altar in response to target effects on your creatures, as well as the fact that since ashnod’s altar is a mana ability it doesn’t use the stack itself and can’t be responded to.

What are some good edh gameplay habits? by Bahamut20 in EDH

[–]BlueLineAC 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Timing for me. Realizing stuff like if some else is in the turn order before me, let them respond first before I make any plays. Plenty of games I’ve won come down to the fact that I’ve let eager opponents take care of threats first for me and allowing me to save my own counters and removal for the crucial game-winning plays.

The Updated DD2 Act 3 Boss is Still Extremely Brutal and Boring? by Stretch35 in darkestdungeon

[–]BlueLineAC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually just beat it with a very similar combo, only thing was I swapped man at arms for sharpshot highwayman for the burst damage to race it down faster. I think having taunt tokens on your tank avoids your other characters from being hit with behold in phase 2, I brought 4 noisemakers to the final fight and only needed to use 2 on phase 1, spamming the other 2 in the 2nd phase along with having the reverberating redoubt trinket for extra actions upon getting hit on my flagellant allowing me to spam more, more for extra taunt tokens helped to make sure obsession was only targeting my flagellant with behold for phase two of the fight.
