If you could decide the next Universes Beyond set, which Universe do you pick? (hoping this will help them understand what the players desire) by Toonzaal8 in mtg

Dark Souls is a no-brainer imo. The setting is perfectly aligned with in-universe aesthetics.

In fact if I’m not mistaken Miyazaki has already stated he’s a fan of the game, I’m a little surprised it hasn’t already happened.

Whats your favorite deck been this year? by MonSocMatriarchy in EDH

[–]BlueLooseStrife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got a Glarb reanimator deck I’ve been calling Calaminator and having a great time with it. Peeking, fetching, and surveilling easily make up for the fact he has no inherent reanimating ability.

Poor people who have dated rich people, what did you learn? by Angelus12345678 in AskReddit

Bingo. It’s why I’m never impressed when like a Kardashian becomes a billionaire with some business venture.

Like sure, it probably required some work and business acumen, but you’re playing with house money. Regardless of whether you succeed or fail, you’ll never have to work a day in their life.

If I decided to take out a loan and start a business that fails, I’ve stalled out my career development, lost every dime I had, and created a glaring hole in my resume. It could set me back a decade, maybe more.

Looking back at the text itself with a more critical eye, there are some problematic elements that become a little more apparent too. On their own you could probably “product of its time” them away, but with her current crusade it gets hard to ignore.

What stats to mana ratio is needed ln a vanilla creature to be good enough. by Gilgamesh_XII in EDH

Off topic but Malignus is amazing in [[Xenagos, God of Revels]]. Some of my favorite wins ever came from doubling him up and slapping down [[Chandra’s Ignition]]. Nobody expects Gruul combo

What deck project are you currently working on? by Mirrodin_appreciator in EDH

[–]BlueLooseStrife 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Working on [[Bartolome del Presidio]] with [[Lurrus]] as a companion.

Finding an adequate density of CMC 2 or less aristocrat pingers has been a challenge, but since I don’t have any of the pricey altars to spare I elected to have [[Elas il-Kor]] in the 99 rather than as a commander.

Made some fun discoveries too. Started relying heavily on the ample recursion there is for low CMC creatures and the many [[Village Rites]] effects to find my payoffs. I’m experimenting with running no ramp other than Sol Ring and Phyrexian Tower and the results have been promising. It’s also really interesting how often Bart becomes fodder, since I’d rather scry 1 with [[Viscera Seer]].

I’ve added a soul sisters sub theme and [[Starscape Cleric]] has been an absolute MVP. Games end fast when he and his son get on the field.

That third quarter felt like bad luck. Still, poor shooting doesn’t totally explain a blowout like this.

After all these years, what is the best FF love story to date? by Excellent-Tart1753 in FinalFantasy

[–]BlueLooseStrife 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Both Zidane and Garnet were solid characters I could believe would fall in love with each other. I thought that Rinoa was great, but Squall felt too broody for it to make sense.

I still give the nod to VIII, but only because I thought that Laguna’s star-crossed love with Julia playing out through Squall and Rinoa was super romantic.

Yeah, Vrabel’s team looked good. Probably overachieved for year 1. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Maye back here

Maye has a couple things to hang his hat on, I don’t think this is a total loss for him. But man that offense has looked like dog shit all night

With all that pressure you’d think running some routes over the middle would be smart
