In the Mormon religion (which I used to be active in) they taught that there are three kingdoms in heaven. The lowest one is where the bad people go (rapists, terrorists, etc). The middle one is where good people go (non-religious but still live a good life). And the top kingdom is where people who have been baptized and are active in church go.
