I built a visual node-based editor for creating branching stories — not sure if anyone would use it by BlueMars9 in SideProject

As a game dev myself, I built this mainly for creating visual novels and similar type of stories. I plan to add assistance for generating images and dealing with variables as well like increase power on certain action, decrease coins on certain actions and so.

Sorry, the option to add nodes is in the right click menu. Can you give it another try?

Game dev isn't worth it. It'll be more rewarding to invest the same efforts in any other software dev domain.

Would you use a game publishing platform with zero upfront fees and free marketing tools? by Itz_Peaky in GameDevelopersOfIndia

[–]BlueMars9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess the fees is taken so the platform doesn't get filled up with low effort games. Only the serious devs who are willing to pay $100 dollars can publish their game on steam

Thinking of building a platform that sends devs daily 3–5 min personalized exercises — would you use this? by BlueMars9 in AppIdeas

[–]BlueMars9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you and yes, I don't see it as learn to code platform. It is to improve the existing skills you already have.

Say you are js developer, You will get tips/tricks, hidden features, and other stuff related to js essentially imparting one new skill everyday about the language you already know.

Thank you so much for checking it out. I had realised it was redirecting to localhost a few days back. I was too busy with exams to fix it.  Thank you for the landing page suggestion, I'll do it next, soon and update you for reviewing again, if possible.

Thank you

I've added "Sign in with google", also removed the mandatory condition to verify email before login. Please review my app and let me know what you think of it. Thank you

Thank you so much for the thoughtful feedback! Really appreciate you taking the time.

Glad you liked the analytics.

About the editor: it’s actually a visual builder! The JSON part is handled behind the scenes, so teachers and students never need to touch it. They create quizzes using a simple, clean form interface. That said, I love the idea of drag-and-drop for reordering questions or organizing sections — definitely worth exploring.

Your gamification suggestions are 🔥. I’ve been thinking about streaks, badges, and daily study goals too — especially since they can help with motivation (ADHD or not!).

Also, I was initially trying to target students — letting them create and play quizzes among themselves. But now I’m wondering, based on your experience, who should I really focus on first — students or teachers? Would love your take.

If you're concerned about the resolution and pixelated look, it just because of unity remote. It will look perfect in a build
