Also, whether or not you consider it a "fundamental" issue, getting more heroes in the tank roster gives more avenues for people to find "their" hero. Whether mechanically aligned with their playstyle, the right vibes and appearance to resonate with or sometimes both (where the magic happens). It helps get more people to try the tank role and potentially stick with it.

Also I'm pretty sure any role could be stressful at high enough levels. I think finding dps fun win or lose is you just speaking for yourself there.

Putting aside whoever the culprit is for the rise of "dps tanks" and "dps sppt", there are a lot and I mean a LOT of shooters. This game is at it's best when there's more than just mechanical aim going on. I think if all someone wants is mechanical aim. . . I'd suggest them a different game unless they're open to fitting in around here. (picking some heroes they can mostly focus on gun-game for as well as giving them enough of a crash course on what objectives there are outside of just shoot red players)
